    Hello...first post!
I'm leaning toward a facelift after looking at all this chrome for a while now. To me chrome looks bad , (almost criminal) on some colors......but on black? I'm torn, some days I think it looks awesome (Especially the clean days LOL).....other days I want it gone yesterday. o_O
(If I do it, I was thinking.....new Black hood bulge, grille surround, replace the grille insert with a 2018 black Honeycomb, and bumper end caps maybe with Bumper Shellz)

For some reason Toyota chose to color match the rear bumper end caps but not the front , which had they done both it may have made the decision easier.

Impressions?........leave it alone? Or start down the black- out rabbit hole.

I am with you 100%. I want to delete my chrome but the cost is a bit, that money could go towards other mods especially when I walk out and the chrome just highlights your vehicles color. I think your chrome in the front looks good and it ties itself together. It would bug me to have a rear color match bumper and chrome front... but if you change your front bumper I think you will then end up changing the grill and surround. Just my thoughts, it's your truck do what will make you happy!

Just color match the hood and surround. Leave the chrome insert to tie into your front bumper.

    Welcome!

Chrome doesn't look bad on black. Personally I'd leave the chrome grill but change the hood bulge and surround to black. The bumper corners I'd leave alone until that one change is made and see how it looks.:spending:

Welcome - All trucks with BSM/RCTA have the color matched rear bumper because the sensors for that system do not work with the chrome bumper caps.

And now you understand me hesitating! I'm so back and forth......LOL Maybe just punt on the color change idea and use the $$ to pull the trigger on some OEM LED headlights instead? ;)

Welcome from Western NC. I'm wanting to get rid of the chrome on my 2018 Limited too. But i think i will change out the insert since i like the one on my truck.

That's so funny cause that's what I did for like 2 years and finally did it, mixed thoughts on it cause of the price but it's sure fun to drive

I am not a fan of chrome and manufacturers know this by offering midnight packages, nightshade, black optics, etc.
A cheap and reversible way to black out the chrome is plastidip. Check out dipyourcar channel on YouTube.

Welcome from Texas! I personally feel like chrome is tacky on any color and hate it with a passion. I vote get rid of all of it!

I prefer color matched where you can and black where you can’t color match. Not a chrome guy here.

Most of us on the forum, including me, are anti-chrome. But there are some good looking trucks here with the chrome in full effect. Do what makes you happy since it is your truck. We love seeing pictures either way!

Chrome doesn't look bad on black, but I still prefer the all black look better :). I suppose its just preference, you cant really go wrong either way!

    It has begun......
Pulled off the bull bar skid plate and primed and painted it a satin black acylic. Should have done that long ago. Looks great.
Have the new color matched hood bulge ordered along with a Platinum honeycomb grille assembly and new emblem.

Just need to figure out the front bumper corners which look like probably Bumper Shellz.

Then I might bring all the badges and emblems down a notch with a gunmetal look and find a lower vis rear fender decal.

Also have the 2019 OEM LED "black" housing headlights ordered and OEM fogs. She's getting quite the facelift.

Nice clean truck! I’d say de-chrome.

Chrome looks horrible on a black truck. Just removed the 4x4 badge on my tailgate instead of blacking it out. Think it gives it a cleaner look.
