    By the way I tested it....still have current running,but the bracket is tweaked and the rest flew off.

    There's no salvaging that plug, so you're going to have to replace it. Is it OEM or aftermarket? You're going to have to crawl underneath to see how it's connected to see what your best course of action will be.
    Snap some pics and post them if you need help IDing the parts.

    Looks like a standard towing connector?
    They often just unplug somewhere further up the line so they can be easily replaced but even if not there is for sure no lack of decent quality options to replace that bad boy too.

    I would solder and use thick adhesive heat shrink tubing if it does not just disconnect somewhere as those connections are notoriously subject to hostile conditions and you want a solid connection to a trailer if you can keep one that way!

    Yes your absolutely right there is plug further up the line i will post pictures later today and see what you folks think..either way I know I some how replace the brace the holds the socket,it’s toast! I’d like to Everthing done in one shot and out of the way of hassles

    I replaced the 7 pin plug like that (male side) on our old popup camper. The housing came apart and the wires were screwed onto the terminals. It may possibly be the same way on your truck. You don't want to have to replace the whole harness. It's about $215. Etrailer.com has the socket, and some of the auto parts stores may carry it.

    Ok thanks so...so they sell a socket? Then I would cut the wires off old one and rewire on to the new one? Thank you Tundra234
