I'm sure this has been talked about, but didn't really find what I was looking for. If I get a calibrator for my tire size will that help stay in 6th gear on the hwy, or will I have to regear?

Gear choice has nothing to do with the speedometer. 35s are the beginning of regear territory.

I understand speedo has nothing to do with gear choice. But on a jeep it has so much electronics that a calibrator will help with it staying in od. I know when you calibrate on my jeep you are doing it thru the electronics not just the speedo. Not sure if thats how the calibrator forbthe tundra works.

So what gears do y'all recommend?

5.29 if you tow or haul or plan to go with bigger tires.
    4.88 otherwise.

I think the typical response is 4:88s for 35” tires and 5:29s for 37” tires... when it comes to gears I believe Nitro are the most talked about on this forum.. there will probably be an awesome Black Friday sale on them if you can hang in there.

There is also a group buy going on for Revolution Gears, that you could get in on and have them delivered to your house.
