34 hours in the gate at my facility while Delta came through and bitch slapped us and caused something somewhere to relieve during the impromptu shutdown and leave a film on my paint. A good wash, and then another good wash for everything off of the paint but the chrome and windows still need TLC. That damned storm was unreal.

Just what I've learned from that thread. It's an absolute asset. If that stuff doesn't work, ask in there and I am sure you'll get a better way to address the scratch.

I don't know anything but I used a Griot's orbital and Griots Compound, both from Autozone, to get all sorts of scratches out of my '06's paint before I sold it.

The pain of the first scratches is real. I remember on my first new car (It was black so EVERYTHING showed) I was super worried about it. That poor car was a magnet for damage too. Within 6 months of ownership my friend backed into the passenger front fender, my sister backed into the front bumper, and some jackass did a hit an run on it. Had to have the driver rear door skin replaced and painted. Over the next few years it got hit and run 3 more time. Eventually I learned that dings and scratches happen and I have become way more zen about it. It was a painful journey to get here though.

I noticed a bunch more little scratches, mostly near tailgate or in between tailgate and bed, from doing truck stuff

I just live with them now. Character scratches and most have a story behind them.

My first good scratch happened a couple months after I bought the truck. Took a bunch of scrap metal to the recycle depot, one was an old bed frame. I took it out of the bed, turned to throw it out and gave my truck a good, deep scratch.

I still have to fix that one so it doesn't rust.

After that one, all the little ones seem like nothing to worry about PXL_20201013_234718022.jpg

I went on a trail and ended up with bunch of scratches on both sides. I know how you feel! It hurts me every time I go to my truck as I know where they are. Unfortunately mine was deep enough but I don’t plan on spending $800 to fix it lol

no matter how well you take care of your vehicle, it will have scratches. It just sucks on this color versus a standard black/white/grey color :(

Dude, I got one in the exact some point. No clue how it happened. Noticed it when I walked by it while on a camping trip, was ticked.

I will say: this is some of the easiest paint to scratch and scuff. I even scratched it with a damn Nerf gun handle!

Mostly mud but there’s a serious scratch and dent under that chrome.

Big time! And I used to own a WR blue 2005 STi, that paint would chip just by driving it above 55mph.

Did you every try that Meguiars on your scratch? I'm curious how it worked out.
