@Rheywood456 is that a custom build? I’m looking around for designs to bring to a local fabricator

It changes the geometry of the suspension, which, by definition, will change the physics of the suspension movement. Any change you make to any suspension geometry that deviates from stock will change how the truck rides, there is no debate on that, the only debate is on how it will change the ride and by how much.

Not currently. But it’s on my radar to add one. This is for a possible gas / water / storage mounting spot option. Nothing set in stone on what I’m gonna mount there. But down the road I’ll use the spot

Yes. 100% custom. Built by my buddy. I gave him several photos of bumpers I liked and the requirements I wanted and he made the magic happen

Good stuff! Thanks for the pic of it off the truck! It’s something I want as well. With a “holy” bumper, it’s giving me push towards going aftermarket or custom

I'm no expert, but when I removed them from my truck it was amazing how much better it rode.

Ordered the factory hitch. My cost all in all was $208 and I’ll have it tomorrow. Better deal than the draw tite for me.

also ordered the factory trans cooler lines to use the factory tow package cooler I picked up a while ago. The new radiator noticeably dropped trans temps and it’s just built so well I’m not fearing coolant contamination. So the 30k cooler is going on the ford to help keep its expensive built trans happy.

I haven't driven my truck in weeks. The weather has been nice and the p-car is coming along, so it's way too fun to drive while the roads are salt-free.

But the Tundra has been on my mind a lot. I still need to do the knock sensors and the fuel door...and I can't stand looking at it all stock like a granddad truck, so wheels and suspension are on my mind as well.

    But here's the thing.

Those awful awful drum brakes. I can hear PHM (among others) extolling the virtues of well-adjusted and maintained drums, but I hate them. I hate that they're even there. What the heck was Toyota thinking? Which leads me to my real question.

What am I overlooking to swap a Sequoia rear axle into my truck?
I know it needs the following at minimum. (none of which are what I would consider deal-breakers)
-cutting off the coil spring perches
    -welding on leaf spring perches
-sorting the parking brake cable situation
-possible changes to the master cylinder or prop valve
-swapping my 3rd member into the Sequoia axle

    TIA, gents and ladies

Late addition: I would consider swapping the rear axle from a 2nd gen Tundra if it were similar work...but I reckon it's way too wide.

Nice! Whats the average drop in temps you are experiencing with the new cooler? Please provide an example of the Coolant Temp drop, as well as the Transmission Temp.

For example, I noticed the new Denso Radiator dropped my temps 10-15°. Seems as if the Transmission is a harder temp to nail down, but they do seem slightly cooler overall. The air temp/weather is lower and also effects the Trans Temps more vs. the Coolant Temps it seems. My Trans Temp Mojo might be slighted due to weather?

Coolant temps just as good as before. 180-183 aka thermostat controlled. Trans temp is about 10-15 degrees cooler though

Yeah. Seems my coolant is about 183-185° average and the trans is 5° average less (still figuring that one out though).

Man. Either my hearing is going or my engine is so quiet that I forget to turn the engine off or I turn the key to start it when she is running and she dies on me. What? Someone say something?

What is the purpose of higher blow off pressure as compared to standard blow off pressure?

Installed an LED light bar on the bottom of the tailgate, has running lights, brake lights, and turn signals. Very clean installation and wiring, looks good and provides better visibility in traffic.

Decided to wet sand(controlling the moment), compound and polish my headlights. The pictures don't do it justice but they were pretty yellow and foggy to say the least. They aren't perfect when you get in close you can see the sanding scratches. I used 400 to start with then 1500 then 2000 grit. I probably could have spent more time sanding but as I was taking pictures my phone decided it was going to randomly restarting itself over and over and over for an hour and a half so I had to deal with that and Verizon... Here are the results I'm sure it's temporary I did not coat them but I want to halos. Disclaimer; that black blob by rear tire is not oil of any sort. Lincoln is jet black and was apparently tired. No I did not run him over

Hmm. My coolant runs 199-200 and never a degree more. The needle on the gauge is still dead in the middle. You think I'll be fine? Lol

I'm absolutely going to have to get the same radiator as you when mine goes kaput. Who did you have make it? And would you happen to have the specs you sent to the company that made it?

Radiator supply house. They already had the specs. With shipping it was just under $1000... so not cheap

My old NAPA one was 195-200° and I thought that to be normal. The new radiator is 183-185° steady and have been shocked to now that is true normal. I guess you’ll be alright because our engines haven’t blown up yet.

Try that Mishimoto Radiator ($500). Its supposedly pretty nice quality. I’d have done that one if I had known prior to the job.
