Just lift it from the bottom to start and it should come right out. @2020Platinum has a video on his channel.

Yes, I watched his video and his just came right off with no resistance. Mine feels like there's something else holding it in place. Didn't want to break something. I'll try lifting from the bottom next time.

My first experience with vinyl. Blacked out TRD wheels.

Not as good as new rims. But huge improvement over stock IMO. Took about 3 hours using wet method with rapid tac and finishing up with a heat gun to knock down the edges.

Make sure the torx screws are as loose as possible (remember that they are captive so they won't come all the way out). You could try wiggling it a little and see if it comes out. @2020Platinum, any other ideas? I wouldn't think the 2017 would be any different.

Nice work. I’m looking to do the same mod, any idea where I can find detailed instructions on how to wire these like you did?

Looks great. I was talking with my son today about wanting to switch mine (same as yours). Do you mind sharing details on the process and where you bought the black levers? I'll search around on the forums too.

Yea the only thing holding the airbag in place are those 2 screws, like @Tundra234 make sure they’re all the way loose, they can’t fall out on ya...if they are then it should just come right out but try wiggling it a little...let us know how ya make out!

Yea that’s about all I can think of, should come right out!

Great video! Thank you so much for sharing. I want to black out all the shiny chrome pieces on the interior (doors, vents, cupholders, etc) and your video should be a big help!

Finally got this thing installed. I molded in a custom switch plate by CN designs with epoxy and bondo glass. Sanded off the texture, and made it all one unit.
