So I have a stock 2005 DC sr5 4wd. I’m planning on lifting it just a little. So was measuring it and it’s only a half inch higher in the rear. Honestly not even noticeable. Was wondering is that normal?

Oh yeah forgot to disclose that it does have a leer topper on it but it’s not heavy at all

Without knowing the official answer, I’ll weigh in with an opinion that that’s “normal” for 15 year old leaf springs + a Leer topper. When I bought my 2002 a couple years ago, there wasn’t much rake.

I missed the spacer on my 06 when I bought it, I was so occupied looking for rust

I don't see a spacer there just the top hat.

Looks like a spacer to me, you can see the bolts running thru it at the front corner

That looks like a spacer in there. Notice the gap around the bolts going from the spring assembly to the actual mount.

Guess I missed that since that gap doesn't look like it lines up with the bolt coming out of the top. Guess it could be a spacer.

only noticed it immediately because I ran a spacer exactly like it when I had my 05 DC

I have a spacer too but mine is aluminum and not painted and thicker so it's stands out more. Lol

That control arm also looks more horizontal than normal too. Certainly looks like a spacer.

So the consensus is a lift via a puck or spacer...1” maybe? Ok was looking at my leaf springs but didn’t get a pic. They are virtually level if not slightly bowing down. Meaning the ends might be slightly lower than the center.

The leafs on my 05 are similar. I think that's a symptom of age. I'm planning to replace them and install Firestone air bags eventually.

Just trying to figure out what’s my best option for lift and tires. I’ve never lifted any of my trucks in the past. I’ll be mostly pavement pounding and driving on the beach. Might retrieve a deer out of a field or a farm road here and there.

I too am very happy with my billies and the OME taco springs. ride is amazing for a truck running E range tires.

Same driving use here. I’m on Billy 5100’s all around. Front Shocks adjusted one notch up from the lowest setting. They are a great value. Excellent of street/highway. Excellent towing/hauling. Off-road at slow speed they are firm. Research progressive vs. digressive shocks.

I'm late coming back to the party, but definitely a spacer like others stated.

@rock climber I'm going to see how it looks...I’ve got a 1” block and a add a leaf in my Amazon cart. I’m leaning towards the leaf over the block.

I wouldn't even consider the block. I've heard too many bad things about them.
