I had a hairline crack in my oil filter canister so I replaced that with an aluminum one from Toyota. Parts are ordered to replace bushings on the steering rack, I’ll tackle that next week.

installed 2020 trd sport shocks in my 2007 with just under 44k miles. I was surprised to see when the 2007 front shocks compressed they did not rebound back up. they were completely blown/dead.

Added a trim spacer to my shocks. Instaled my abs guards and put on some new tires. Cooper at3 xlt. 285 75 18. Which i think totally changed the look of the truck. Took off the swaybar and skid for the moment. No rubbing lock to lock.

Black arrow: I successfully removed this bolt & it's pictured above. 2 new ones ordered just in case. "Shit happens"

I wasn't planning on re-installing the tank protection plate anyway, most of the rivets were broken already & it has numerous cracks. $160 for a new one? Nah, not this boy.

    Changed the oil.

And greased the driveshaft. Boy the zerk fitting just ahead of the TC sucks. Gotta angle your fitting to fit just perfectly pass the cross member.

Rough Country wheel to wheel steps 7) Pioneer 8400 NEX Wireless ApplePlay 8) Backup Camera: e-raptor 9) LED white lights replaced in headlights, fog lights, inside cabin, and exterior lights 10) Linex (unbranded by Central Texas Truck Coatings) 11) OEM Toyota side panels and generic panel on tailgate Maintenance/Repairs: 1) Valve covers, belt tensioner, alternator belt - $415 2) Evaporation fuel canister and filter replacment $1547 *This was a Toyota TSB for 07-08 AFAIK. Toyota covered in first 3 years of ownership. Mine failed after 13 years of daily regular driving use. Not bad at all. 3) Pioneer Unit - had to ship to Pioneer to replace Output IC - $45 (shipping) free under 1 year warranty fix 4) Pioneer Unit - Electrical feed back coming through speakers when accelerating. Fix was to check all wiring/tighten up/ make connections good again $42. 5.) Rear passenger door actuator replaced. Part was $287 with tax on ebay from Toyota dealer free shipping. 6.) Rack and Pinion, tow mirrors, shocks install, lifetime alignment - $1884.36
Got the bed sprayed down, replaced the the tailgate panel and side panels with genuine OEM parts, thanks to @Roman for helping me get the correct part numbers. Feels like a new truck to me. IMG_2308.jpg IMG_2310.jpg Screen Shot 2020-10-10 at 3.01.19 PM.jpg

    Many to come.
Just throwing an idea out there. I believe this "fix" will be a failure as I figure I didn't think it through well enough. When I bought my '09 in 2015, the knob in the far left dash vent that controls or shuts off airflow, was missing. I removed the dash, found it lying inside the dash jungle and simply pushed it back on. In less than a month, my Wife knocked it back down inside the dash. It's been there for about 3 or 4 years now. So I pulled the dash again today and fixed it. You'll see that I used a wide flanged screw to hold it in. I drizzled some epoxy into the cavity the screw is in and simply dropped the screw in the cavity. You'll notice in the one photo that there is some blue low-tack masking tape under the whole thing. That's because there's a hole in the bottom of the cavity so I used a small piece of tape to keep the epoxy in there while it was setting up.
My failure? I think I put too much epoxy in the cavity and some of it has hydraulic-ed up into the workings and will possibly stop them up. We'll see, I guess. Worst case scenario, I'll have to buy a new vent to replace this one. I put the adjustment into the wide open setting just in case. (PS: It works just fine)

This is what an unbroken one looks like, for those that have not been into their dash yet.

    Chandler, AZ, not anymore :(
Bull bar. Two weeks ago I saw this listed on CL for $50 obo. I was over an hour away, I offered him $30. He replied:

“Sounds good man. Honestly you can have it for free. That’s a drive and it’s just sitting around. So cheers! I’ll leave it in front of my 4Runner in the driveway.”

I offered him beer, but he politely declined. So if the person from Elk Grove that gave me this is on here, thanks again, way to pay it forward!

I finally got around to put it on. That’s a lot of chrome lol. I want to paint or wrap bumpers body color and black out every other chrome piece.

The signal wires for the cam are in the driver side a pillar. If you already have it in the mirror just use positaps on the signal wires and run that to an RCA plug, boom you have it on your new radio. The reverse signal trigger wire is in the same location. Positap that and run to the reverse trigger of an aftermarket deck.

You're looking for red, grey, and green on the plug behind the driver side a pillar cover that has those colors and 2 more.

    Wire Color Function
Red V+ Video positive (center of coax)
Grey V- Video Negative (shield of coax)
Green Active high reverse indicator (switches from 0v to 12v when truck put into reverse)
