Hello all newby here! I just bought a 2017 tundra sr5 and I'm pretty sure it has a small subwoofer somewhere because it has an amp under the passengers seat and a little bit of bass to it. Where is the factory sub mounted? thank you for your help!

The JBLs have an 8" sub. If it's a DC, it's under the driver's side rear seat. I believe the CMs have them behind the rear seat.

Unless your headunit says “JBL” you do not have a factory sub. Some tundras have an amp for door speakers is all

ok thanks for your replies, but that sure is a lot of bass coming out of those little speakers, for there not to be a sub.

That factory amp powers the door speakers.
The dash speakers run straight off the HU

I doubt your SR5 has a JBL system.
As @Shelbie67 stated, JBL would be on your radio, and possibly the doors, if you had it.

There are a ton of threads about the underseat factory amp.

Did you find one under or behind the rear seat?
Do you have a double cab or crewmax?

Since you bought it used, it is possible someone replaced door speakers or added a sub to your truck.

It’s a crewmax. I think you are correct the previous own had a little sub installed somewhere. It definitely has more bass than those little door speaks can make.

and why do the back door panels have tweeters but no tweeters up front? Odd!

    Because you have dash speakers.
