    Hello tundras.com!

I bought my very first Tundra yesterday. And I must say, she is a beauty! She's a black 2019 Platinum Crewmax. I'll post a pic of her when I take the time to learn how to do so on here. So far I love her!
She's not my first Toyota by a long shot, but it's my 1st Tundra.

My 1st car was 1980 Celica GT, with a rebuilt title, and not less than 20lbs of bondo holding her together! Haha! But I bought it with my own $, back in 1986, when I was 17yrs old.

Since then I've owned several Toyota's, including a few Tacoma's. So, I'm an old fart, that has appreciated Toyota's reliability for many years!

I look forward to learning much more about my Tundra from this forum!

    Cheers!

WOW!!! Thank you guys for the warm welcome!!

I was expecting maybe 1 reply from a moderators, or maybe something sarcastic from a Clemson or LSU fan. But what a surprise! This site actually has some people tuning in to it! Which is great!

For those of you fellow members from Alabama, I live in Helena, and work in Hoover. So I'm actually not far from a few of you...

And for the Auburn fans, I'm sorry to see what happened Saturday night! But GA really looked stout!!

So far I love my new Tundra, with the one small complaint being the poor mpg! But, I knew what I was buying when I traded. And I'm coming out of a 2006 Ford F250 w/ a 6.0 powerstroke. So, the only thing I really miss is that massive diesel torque! But for a gasser, these 5.7's are pretty strong. And hopefully I won't have to worry about what's going to break next, like it was with my Ford! And she rides SO MUCH BETTER than my F250! There's just no comparison whatsoever!!!

Thank you again for the warm welcome!

What's wrong with the Tundra MPG's?!? I get about 16 MPG average now as opposed to the 12-13 I used to get on my Titan!

You must do a good bit of interstate driving...?

So far, I've found if I drive on the interstate, and keep it around 70, it doesn't do too bad on mpg. But in the hilly part of the state that I live in, if I just drive around town, and add stop and go traffic, I get around 11 -12mpg.

My truck has 285/65-20 Nitto Ridge Grappler's on it, and I'm sure that doesn't help me out with fuel mileage. But it is what it is, right?

    Vector W8,
I'm all for adding a supercharger! Would you mind loaning me one? Bring it over this weekend! I'll buy the beer and pizza, if you'll help me out with the instal!!

If I remember correctly, the Manguson supercharger is in the $7,000 range, just for the supercharger. Is that about right?
Ummmm, ouch! That's a chunk of cash for an average wage earning dad, that's praying his kid gets a good scholarship, so he can retire by the time he's 80! Ha!
But I'd certainly love to drive someone's Tundra that has a supercharger installed. I'd love to feel what this 5.7 will do when it's uncorked, with some fuel pushed into it!!
I'd bet you go through tires pretty regularly!

I do live across the bay from where I work, so I take Highway 90 (at 65 mph) across. Other than that, I do drive pretty conservatively. There are times, though, that I have to get on it, but that is not the norm.
