I have put 2 coats of Griots 3 in 1 on the truck and if we see some warmer temps I would like to add 1 more coat. I have sprayed the truck with Wool Wax to protect from the salt. I feel pretty good but wonder what you all do come mid winter. I do not have a warm space to throw on another coat of wax. I could get to a self serve car wash early in the morning and wash and try to throw on a coats of wax but I am unsure if it will cure considering it will not be below freezing once I pull out of the car wash.

Anybody out there have a method that works for them that they want to share ?

I just hope that that my spigots don't freeze up and I can wash the salt off the truck.

Find a self serve car wash and use the hi pressure wash setting. Weekly. Salt isn't used here in Colorado for the most part. Mag Chloride. Not too bad actually at all compared to NACL but I always hi pressure wash my tunny every week. All year actually...

I’ll wash mine with the high pressure wash at the local coin op as long as it’s above freezing . Salt or other stuff used on roads don’t really do anything to metal until the temps go above freezing .

Wash mine at the parkade at work in the morning, it dries until 330pm, drive home and gets covered in snow again. No garage at home, it's outside all winter long from Nov to Apr

I try and wash it every couple weeks but probably should do it more often.

Our city uses Sand on the roads. It is better than salt for vehicles but still not good for them

Tell that to the truck owners on the Oregon coast. Rarely freezes. Rarely. At least not for days on end. Lots of rust.......

Usually by mid-winter I stop turning on the AC and start rolling down the windows.

Exactly. That's why it was only 102, not 112, feels brisk.

If not freezing why are they putting salt down? Only time that salt should go down is into 2 or more inches of snow.

Salt isn't put down, lol, it's everywhere naturally when you live on the coast. Causes havoc on steel.

That’s what I was saying ..... lol . It won’t rust when it’s frozen , it’s when it gets above freezing that the salt will eat away at the metal .

That time of year when the bbq takes an extra 15 minutes to get up to temp because the propane is sluggish.

Just walk across at Roxham Rd in Quebec and claim refugee status. Easy peasy.

Gotta be careful. They’re still sore about that whole thing in Prague from 2006.
