Also, the grille mold is sanded and mounted. We'll most likely run our first prototype this weekend! I'll post pictures of it when we have a part. Also, to head off the stream of "BETA Tester" requests, this part will most likely not be tuned in enough to install lol

I’m so curious how it’s going to secure. Just 3m tape or will there be some sort of clip? Either way, it’s going to be great

This part is going to use 3M tape for the primary attachment method. How it's designed right now should make it a 15 minute or less install job.

will there be a gap visible between the hood bulge and the cover then?

I think I understand your question, but let me know if I'm missing it. The edges of the cover will extend slightly past the edge of the OE part (1/16" or so), and then curl down to terminate against the hood and other body panels to give you a really clean line. Essentially, the goal of our design here and with the bumper covers is to make it appear that they are just the OEM part in fit and function, while making the install as easy as possible.

I guess a question I've never asked on here is: As the end customer would you guys prefer us to keep everything looking as stock as possible, or would you like some sort of subtle design tweak that would show you've done something a little different to your truck? I might make a poll for that because that might inform a little bit of the final design for the grille, but in the meantime, any of you guys who see this, let me know what you think.

No price yet. There are still a lot of question marks in the manufacturing process right now including figuring out painting costs for those of you who want to do color match. Right now all we really know is our material costs. As soon as I have a good idea I'll post it. That will probably be about the time we start talking about a group-buy

I don't have an exact timeline yet, but I'm thinking the beginning of November. That should give the engineering department enough time to work through the biggest steps so we don't have any big unforeseen delays after we have people's money.

This is fantastic. When the time comes, I’m definitely going with a silver sky color match set. That will look so nice with the tpo black bumpershellz I ordered. So glad these options are out there!

Test Fit BETA Tester Request For Grille Overlay

I'm going to need a truck to start test fitting the Grille Surround and Hood Bulge overlays. If you guys, or anyone you know is in the Roseville, Auburn, Sacramento area have them reach out. We would actually need them to come to the shop and it will probably take a couple test sessions, so if we get someone to do it they'll get theirs for free once we're done. Let me know if you're interested!

I signed up for the wait list on the website for the front bumper covers painted OEM white. Any update on when you will be producing a run of the OEM white? Also how can I find out if I will make the next run?

I also checked the box for the grill surround. I am interested in seeing how they turn out!

I read the last few pages but didn't see an answer to my question.
Before I get on the painted wait list, would the price be for front and rear covers painted in MGM?
Same price as Gloss black or white?

    Thank you, 1LL

    SUPER WHITE BUMPERSHELLZ NOW AVAILABLE
(all other OEM colors still waiting)

You guys on the wait-list for Super White should have gotten an email with ordering instructions. If you're not on the waitlist, shoot me a message, I'll check to see if we have any that aren't spoken for already. I'll put the product details below, because there is some pretty awesome stuff about this. First off, major price reduction for Super White in compared to our normal OEM painted parts, so read below to find out how we've been able to do that. The product details will also explain why we can do this color, but still can't paint the rest of the OEM colors. We're getting close, but there is still so much red tape we're working our way through. I should have a time-frame soon.

    Product Improvement Details

    Material Change

    · With Super White we have sourced a brand new plastic that is “molded in color” meaning the plastic is white the entire way through. This means that even deep chips or scratches will barely be noticeable unlike with traditional painted plastic

    · The Super White color now comes from a color matched laminated cap. This makes the finish perfectly smooth and many times more durable than paint. The color on this cap will last much longer than the color on the body of your truck.

    Price Reduction

    · Although the plastic we use for Super White is more expensive due to its added benefits, the labor and cost of painting the part is taken out completely which means that we have been able to significantly discount the price compared to all other color matched parts.

    Lead time Reduction

    · As a result of the elimination of painting for Super White, these parts will ship out with similar lead times to any of our other stock colors. (currently 14 business days or less)

@AGuyFromNC --- Hope this answers your question lol

We've actually got a limited grille and hood bulge right now. What we would need is the whole truck so we can see how the cover matches up with the style and body lines where the grille transitions to the body of the truck, and I'm guessing you don't want to make that drive lol. Thank you for being willing to help out!
