I like to think of myself as a guy that can figure shit out.... this bumper has me stumped. Comparing diagrams it looks as if i am missing something? I took this thing apart almost a year ago and despite my search’s on YouTube and here I can find any resources on putting a stock bumper back together.
I have faith this forum can help me out. Any help is appreciated. Here’s what I have found so far....

from comparing diagrams I looks like I’m missing the circled peice. But I can’t seem to find the long peice in the pictures by the bumper end caps. When I google the item number it comes back as a tundra bumper retainer so I know it goes somewhere just not sure where....

I believe that's for the SR models that did not come with a tow hitch receiver. They sometimes condensed the catalog with both options.

Sorry I looked a little deeper and the part I’m referencing is for my front bumper. Disregard that portion of my post I was being swarmed by mosquitos as I was trying to figure it out. What I am asking is does anyone have a video or reference on how exactly to put this sucker back together.

Turns out I am still a guy that can figure shit out....with a little help. Thanks to Mr Hachi Roku sprinterae86 he was so right, the piece I circled was for an sr w/o hitch and is not a missing piece. I also watched gorhinos bumper install video and made notes on the steps. For any lurker out there with the same issue I watched this video

I thought you had a front bumper piece mixed in there. These bumpers, I just don’t get the reasoning behind their jigsaw puzzle piece construction.

    Tell me about it

That piece is what really threw me off. I looked up the parts number for it and it only said bumper retainer so I just figured it was my rear. I looked at a different site and there it was .... FRONT bumper retainer. Looks like I’ll be pulling the front off tomorrow

That long thin piece goes under the grille if I recall correctly.
