I have a 2020 Tundra and recently installed Toytec 2.5 Aluma coilovers and 2.0 Aluma rear shocks with coachbuilder +3 shackles. The problem is I run a cap on the bed of my truck and the coachbuilder shackles only gave me about 1 inch of lift instead of the 1.75 inches because of the weight of the cap. I am looking to add another 1-1.5 inches of lift in the rear. Should I add a 1 inch block or an add a leaf? I am leaning towards an add a leaf because I have heard some people complaining of vibration with the blocks. Anybody run an add a leaf and a shackle or a block and a shackle together? What are your thoughts?

Firestone air bags and a wireless compressor is what I did and I love it.

I would suggest you do not do a block. A lot of others will as well.

You can give Icon vehicle dynamics a call about their add a leaf setup that is adjustable as well.

An add a leaf. or a spring pack if a grand +-doesn't bug you. I also have a shell on mine and the CB3 shackles. Blocks can contribute to spring axle wrap which makes the pinion tilt up and down more on softer springs. ( higher and lower pinion angles can cause vibrations)The shackles leveled mine but after towing a few times with a load in the bed they have sagged and as soon as the rear of the truck sits lower than the front the steering gets weird. also since the weight is taken off the front the ride gets harder. I prefer an inch to 2 inches of Rake.

Also airbags help a ton with towing.

Depending on where you are, valley spring shop in Phoenix gave me a $600 quote to rebuild my current spring pack with 3 more leafs. Cheaper than a new spring pack and a higher payload in the leafs and about 1.5" of lift.

airbags don't solve the issue properly, add a leaf or a new spring pack for the best ride and to level out what you will put in the cap and bed.

And I would Definitely use Datstar cradles so you don't destroy the bags if the truck is on a lift being worked on.........it takes the stress off of the bags.
