Okay guys thanks to one of our members and his info on his Re-gearing experience I'm pulling the trigger and doing gears. Question now is do I drop a Auburn or Powertrax or just leave it alone and drop gears? What's your input on either and experiences with either unit? Familiar with Auburn but gear shop is saying a lot of yota's he's working on guys are going with Powertrax. Thanks for the info

Neither of those things are lockers. Do you need a locker or a limited slip?

Following, I've been researching this exact question for the past few days. The powertrax sounds superior, but it's hard to find consistent information for how it handles onroad, and the Auburn I'm worried about wearing out fast.

Yeah I just dropped an Auburn on the Chevelle but that's different from the truck. I have an Auburn in another Chevelle and love it but I don't know how good they are for truck applications?
