I just changed the brake pads on my Crewmax due to a vibration that happens at about 40 mph. It feels like I'm running over the rumble strips on the side of the highway. It happen real quick and will go away if I let off the gas. After 40 it doesn't happen again. I check the roters and they are fine. Please advise. My local Toyota dealer sucks bad.

Welcome! Have you had them machine turned? Tires balanced properly?

Sean is right on. New pads with bad rotors will do that. Alignment or tires are possible as well.

Honestly it sounds like the lugs got over tq and warped the rotors.

Thanks for the input. I'll check the rotors. I do have smooth stops, no problem. It just happens at 40mph when I'm on the gas. I'm wondering does the ABS need to be reset because of the pad replacement and the lift I put on the truck? But I will have the rotors checked thanks

No on ABS - shouldn't have anything to do with it

If nothing on braking then it's tires or alignment. Get a rotation and balance on the tires and see. My Tacoma had this bad when the tires were near the end and wore a little odd. Was a vibration at a certain speed for a while then developed a sound.
