Background info: running toytec boss coilovers at the preset height. EDIT: stock UCA

Ordered a set of 18x9 (0 offset) wheels and 285/75 Toyo ATIII from 4WP.
(Read over and over the official wheel/tire thread and other members setups)

Was hoping to get the truck back today,
but they say the wheel/tire setup is too big for my truck and is meant for bigger 4-6" inch lifts. Say I need to go down to 285/65 for it to fit.

    Where did I go wrong?
Is it because of the 0 offset wheels that would cause the issue?

    Thanks

They are full of shit. I run 18x9 0 offset wheels with 285/70/18's. The 295/70 fits as well.

Probably just needs a good BMC done. Maybe trim front bumper.

So I should basically ask for the mounted wheel and tires and install myself?

I would. Then you can see what needs trimmed. 295/70 and 285/70 are just under and just over 34". 285/75 should be just under 35". So potentially you're rubbing body mount and front edges of your bumper.

Yes I would. I had a local shop tell me that mine wouldn't fit as well.

I have 18 inch SCS Ray 10s which have a +25 offset on 285/75R18 Cooper AT3 XLTs and total chaos UCAs on Bilstein 6112s on top setting with zero rub or any issues. The 0 offset is def going to be an issue and require some trimming or a chop.

Yes, the 0 offset is the issue for a 285/75 tire.

Ended up taking the wheels, new TPMS, ET lugs from 4WP and getting Cooper Discoverers AT3 XLT (305/65R18) from Discount Tire.

Other than some minor rubbing during full lock onthe front plastics, finally glad this chapter of mods is done.

    On to the next!:bananadance:

A +18 or +25 will work for 285/75R18s on a three inch lift.

Yes, should be doable with some trimming.

New 18 inch Method 315 wheels (+18 offset) with new Toyo AT III in 285/75R18s. Just in case anyone is curious, I have Bilstein 6112s on top setting and Total Chaos upper control arms.

I had SCS Ray 10s in bronze and the Cooper AT3 XLT in 285/75R18.

The Toyo AT III in 285/75R18 is about half an inch smaller compared to the Cooper. Both sound the same on the road and my TRD duel exhaust is louder than both tires.

There is no rubbing or any other issues going from a +25 to a +18.

Just curious do you have any issues with the Total Chaos Upper control arms being squeaky?

Never. I’ve got 9800 miles on them so far and zero issues.
