The truck is in wonderful condition, runs great & smooth 55,000 miles. Yesterday I took in for a oil change (synthetic) and tire rotation/balance. I drove home with zero issues....I decided when I got home to replace the air filter and cabin filter. Then this afternoon I took the truck to the store and the check engine light, slip indicator lights are on, as well as the 4LO light is on solid, but not in 4LO. What could be the problem with all three on?

No, brake pads/calipers will not cause a CEL. Go to an auto parts store. They can usually read your CEL for free, then google the code.

    Toyota Customer Service sucks !!!!
I missed the TSB by 4 months and they refuse to honor it, and admitted it's a known problem ......I have owned various Tacomas and Tundras since 1995, and was planning on a new Tacoma this time next year upon retirement....well they lost me, I will purchase another brand
They claimed they sent me the notice in 2011, I swear I never got it, as I'm anal about my truck I would of had in the dealer's shop for repair or at least a paper trail, I took it in for a replacement floor mat when I got that noticed, spoke with two different customer service reps from toyota and both not professional

What TSB? TSBs are not recalls so they are only covered under warranty. You said you have 55k miles but was sent a notice in 2011? What year is your truck? Need more info to help.

Yeah there are a few threads on here about the air injection pump failures. Some do the bypass. I think that’s about $200 or so. But I don’t know what you mean by missing it by 4 months. Did they extend a replacement for that? If not, you’ve been out of warranty for a while time wise.

They extended it to March 2020, or 150K......So I'm well below the mileage, missed it by 6 months

Unless you already did, try to call Toyota. The dealer is probably telling you that cause they wouldn’t get reimbursed if they did the work. Sometimes Toyota will work with people. I read about it with other issues like that.

6 months is a long timeframe to miss a cutoff date for a claim.

They have a right to deny it the day after or mile over.

They could and it would be nice, but they are a business and in no way obligated to.

If they extend it for you, they have to do it for the next guy and the next guy....they don't make money that way.

If it was sent in 2011, that's almost a 10 year window. I know on my old Sienna, even my local mechanic would advise me of recalls and bulletins, every time I brought it to him. They have me a printout and told me to bring it to a Toyota dealer to get free work done.

It's not a valid reason to swear off buying another Toyota if you are happy otherwise.
