Amp running boards/led light

anyone that has amp running boards . Can you tell me if your lights turn on all when you open a door . I assumed the side you would open up would turn that side on not all of them . Now remember the led power wired are run off a separate power harness and not what the running boards are run off. Not a big thing just wondering if this is normal.

 

Not quite clear what you’re asking, but all 4 lights (passenger and driver side)will light up even if you just open up one side. My lights plugged into the main harness.

Same here, all my lights come on if any doors are opened.

 

Thank guys thats what I was wonderimg . I just assumed when you openend the driver side up that the driver side would only light up not all .
