It's now time to address an annoying problem that I inherited when I purchased my truck last fall. In order to lower the driver's side window I have to pull up on the switch, and hold it until the window goes completely down. To raise the window I have to push down on the switch, and the window goes up in "auto" mode. This is the exact opposite of how it should behave. The passenger side behaves normally.

It seems likely that someone replaced the regulator before I got the truck as the door card is not seated correctly. Does anyone know how I can reverse polarity on the motor to get it to behave normally? And for extra credit, how to do so at the switch so I don't have to pull the regulator out?

Should be fairly simple to access the driver switch. You’ll need to carefully pry up on one end or the other of your switch plate. I believe the front of the switch plate is the easier to pull up on mine. I have a special tool I found on the street corner that is like a bent flat pry bar perfect for slipping under the plate and pushing in that spring clamp in whilst simultaneously prying up. Its a tension fit and pretty hard to break anything if you take your time.

Take your time at first to feel the Mojo. Once you see it you’ll be good.

As far as the wiring, the switches are plug and play. No way for them to be plugged in backwards by design. You may be relegated to removing the entire door panel, but starting at the switch is a good and easy idea.

Thanks! Yep, I've had the switch out already...plug and play as you say. No option for mis-configuration there (or correction) there. I found this video on reversing direction:

I'm hoping to identify the two wires to flip in the harness at the switch to reverse direction (and not fry the motor). Ultimately, I have to remove the door card to seat it correctly, but I only want to do it once.

Turned out to be easy...the regulator is easily accessible, and there are only two wires. All I had to do was switch them!

I think the wire I spliced might be OEM. I don't know who the culprit was...just that I solved a tiny annoying problem.
