I bought this truck with a 6 inch pro comp lift. I kept busting cv axles, I realized my front diff was sitting at a weird angle. It seems like the front diff bracket was bent. I decided to order a new bracket but it has been months and still haven't received it. So I put a 6 inch rc lift on and the cv angles are horrendous and it rides worse than the pro comp lift. I have decided to go back to the pro comp lift and hope that replacing that bracket will solve my issues. Pro comp has not been much help, I'm wondering why the pro comp bracket I have looks different than the one in the diagram (91-5549). Pictures below. Any help or input would be appreciated, been a frustrating process.

So I don't have any pictures of my last tundra but had a 6" pro comp on a 15 Tundra. Couple questions that may help someone help you:

    1. When you swapped lifts did you swap the complete lift? Including the crossmembers? Or just the diff brackets? Any pictures of it installed to show what you were seeing?
    2. May be a dumb question but are you trying to get the drivers side bracket or pass side? Your bracket looks closer to the pass side then drivers...but clearly doesn't match either. Could be a mistake on the drawing:notsure:.
    3. Are you working with ProComp directly or through like 4WP? Have the verified you have the correct bracket? I have no idea how it could be installed wrong. I can't seem to get the 7" kit instructions to check that part number/drawing either.

I had mine for over 30k miles and never had an issue with CV angles let alone broke one.

I swapped everything to RC lift, knuckles, cross member, everything. Yes trying to replace drivers side but for some reason the parts do not look alike. Had to order through summit racing because they were the only ones selling that bracket.

That angle is gnarly, definitely worse. Good luck on figuring it out. My Procomp is going on 5 years with zero issues. Here's mine.

Yes the pro comp was way better ride and quality. I just cannot figure out what is putting the diff at a weird angle, has to be one of the brackets. Could you post a pic of your drivers side front diff bracket? Thank you all for the suggestions, should have came here way sooner.

I can’t help with any pics or anything. However I have dealt with pro comp before. I had the death wobble on an F250. Swapped every component out from 6 to 8” lift. Call them directly to see if they can help with that bracket. You may have to buy from 4WP as that’s what I did. But at least it’s a start.

Edit: tried to see if that pic showed the angles and it was hard to see. So I deleted it.
