Tried this “update” last night. The regular Entune App did nothing so I tried the 3.0 app and it instantly updated when I got in the truck. (2020 W/ JBL). I now have Alexa and whatever else comes with the update. Tried the Alexa feature but it’s kinda laggy and awkward. Plus you need to open two apps every time you get in the truck just to use Alexa, silly.
I still think Apple CarPlay is the best way to go on this particular headunit, and even better if you use Siri. If you don’t have an iPhone then you’ll have a different opinion.

I do think the sound was somewhat improved, especially the volume. I played a couple of songs and only had to go to about 25 when I normally would put it at 35, and as someone mentioned earlier, the sound is a little crisper and the bass is a little more noticeable.
May be a placebo or wishful thinking, but I’ll see if my wife or son notice anything.

 

For my uses, there was absolutely no debate. Those seats will only come up if I need something from under there. As you can see it’s nothing but maintenance and tie down stuff, and some tools I threw in there after I snapped the pic. I’m opting for fancier/pricier bed coverage since I have a locking tailgate. Those locking under seat cabinets look really, really nice but I’d rather throw that kind of money at other things.

This is something that drives me nuts....the volume. Sometimes the music is loud enough at 25, other times it's closer to 40. I've got an update loaded to a USB...will try it tonight.

 

Got my windows tinted last Friday, added the Go Rhino running boards last month and Line-x bed liner.

 

Tow/haul button be damned! Now I can spin my 34’s from gas station to gas station...

Installed 3D Maxpider floor mats. Really happy with the fit and the texture. They fit very well and sit down nice and flat and don't move at all, have a softer rubber texture and feel. The only nag I have is the back seat matt hasn't fully seated down on the door edge, hoping it does after some time. In some reviews people knock these for not physically clipping in on the drivers side, but these do just like the factory mats.

Liking them so far but only have about 700mi on them. They sing a little at 70mph but nothing too extreme. They ride nice also.

 

Silly little thing, but I didn't like the red in the OEM decals. Got all black ones and swapped them today. Also dropped my bumpershellz off at the body shop to color match and remove the last bit of chrome!

 

Added the center console Wireless Charger and a backseat USB charger. Plus a pic of the new mirror caps from a month or so ago.

Color matched grill assembly coming Friday!

Many people who truly know audio would disagree with you here. A well-recorded vinyl record actually sounds "better" than digital music/cds to many people including myself; it's kind of like having a more warm/visceral feel in the music. I DJ'd for years and w/ good vibration isolation, vinyl records made digital mp3/cd/wave files sound like crap, thin, and lifeless in direct comparison.

 

My drivers side mirror took a nice hit last weekend while off-roading on a super narrow trail and my mirror was all wobbly and not responding to the automatic controls, so I took her down to my Dad’s body shop to get it fixed (luckily the inner parts just came loose and didn’t break so it wasn’t a $1500 f*ck up. Phew!)

I also had him install my DB Customz Grille, my Victory 4x4 skid plate, and he painted my Stealth Fighter bumper inserts white.

 

Those white accents look really nice!
