It depends on the orfice diameter of the applicator. Also the layer depth that determines the resolution of the surfaces. I would try to set layer thickness as small as posible. It will definately take longer to produce though.

 

Take some time and study the rectangular coordinate system. X, Y and Z. In a few hours, (assuming you have no knowledge of it), you will be well on the road to understanding what s going on. And remember; math is your friend

 

I ve been enertaining the notion of getting a 3d printer for a long time, but I live in an appartment, and I don t really want to deal with smell of plastic. Question, Does your printer accept regular .ipt files from Inventor?

 

I’d love a set if you’re doing another round.

 

I got math down. But computer software knowledge is limited. I wish I knew as I have some files that need tweaking and would make awsome tundra parts

PLA filament is mostly odorless compared to ABS. I know that Cura accepts .ipt files via a plugin. I’m not sure about Prusa though.

 

Correct, ABS, does have a strong smell for printing. I would suggest using Petg, I'm not getting that strong smell, but would I would suggest placing your printer in the common areas, away from your bedroom. You can also place it in an enclosure as well. SDince I had one laying around, I used a networking cabinet with a glass door.

 

You would need to covert file to .stl for prusa I’m pretty sure.
