What's up guys! I just traded in my 2019 Tacoma TRD 4x4 after getting a great trade in value I couldn't pass up. After alot of thought I decide to go after what I knew I wanted in the first place. I'm 300 miles in on my new 2020 Tundra and I couldn't be more excited.

Any tips for a new owner or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

As of right now the first few things on my list are a pedal commander, LED light kit for interior, cargo etc., and window tint before next summer. (Desert Sun is Brutal )

Try the tow/haul button before you buy a pedal commander. You may find you don’t really need one and can put that money toward something else. I’d also get some more aggressive tires, though that can certainly wait. IMO your truck would look better with either no badges or black overlays on the badges. I would also de-chrome the grill and bumper. In the end your paying for the truck so fix it up the way you want and enjoy. Welcome to the club. Enjoy the power and torque of that glorious 5.7. It’s a big step up from the Atkinson cycle disaster in the Taco.

I am doing the same, trading in the taco for a platinum crewmax 4x4!

Good looking truck. I'm slightly ahead of you as I sold my 2016 Tacoma a couple of months ago and went to the Tundra. Love this truck. Just replaced the K02's with Cooper AT3s4's and the ride is smooooooth

I did read in a pedal colander thread where someone mentioned just using the tow haul button but I was hesitant to agree because that will actually affect how the transmission holds gears where the pedal commander is solely changing throttle response, what do you think? Im also still iffy on whether adding a pedal commander will void the warranty and was considering asking the dealer I purchased from.

I agree I am not a huge fan of the chrome coming from my Tacoma where it had all the black overlays and color keyed front and rear bumpers. I have to say though the chrome is kind of growing on me, might just be the love I have for this truck already :D

I will absolutely be looking at tires but considering just waiting until I use up the tread on these. The ride is good but anything over 75+ you feel the vibrations in the ride much different than driving a Taco

I wanted a platinum but the dealers around me only had a couple and they were already prelifted with tires and rims and they were asking 65k+ ...... It is what it is! I hope you have better luck!

Thanks for the tire info! I will definitely look at those when it is time. I want to look at fender flares like what you have also I definitely think that will add an aggressive look

Tow/haul mode does change shift points, but that won’t hurt anything. I’m not saying you shouldn’t buy a pedal commander, just that you may want to try tow/haul first. If it works for you, you will save some money. If not you can buy a pedal commander, sprint booster, orange virus, or whatever suits you.

Welcome from New Hampshire. I'm only 600 miles into my new Tundra. Traded my '13 Tacoma, and honestly the only thing I miss is how easy the taco was to park. Even that isn't that bad.

I know what you mean! It's easier just to back up now otherwise I keep leaving big gaps in front of me because it looks like I'm closer than I really am
