    Wow!!!

I'm thinking now would be a good time to add some lights. The hard work is already done.

That's definitely a safety issue now. You need to replace it with an off-road bumper... ...for your family's safety.

I joined to see what is possible
if you were close to Socal i would give you my stock rear bumper that had a little dent in it for free, might be able to push out most of the dent with block and hammer.

Got the front fender liners and flares Installed for the winter season. Won’t get to bedlining the goat till next summer at this point-damn priorities.

So, since it’s not being painted for a year, I Masel show y’all the wheels I picked and was keeping quiet until lit reveal. But that’s way too long to keep y’all waiting;). Anyway, I haven’t seen them on a Tundra yet and love how they are pure black. Enjoy :burp::hattip:

Not just today, I've been working on this off and on for a week and a half, but I finally got rid of all the rust on the back half of my truck. Be kind, these are the first welds I've ever done in my life, and going into the project, i thought thinner material would be easier to weld than thick steel

Also used the opportunity with the bed off to grind off all the frame rust and undercoat the frame.

Thanks! There are several things I want to do with the truck, but this needed done first, or all those upgrades would be lost when the bed bounced fully off the frame going down the highway.

Watching your truck come together in your build thread has been a lot of my inspiration to get this and other things done :fistbump:

great work. I Just took my Rusty bumper off to replace and a see my bed it really rusted Also. I should probably do this but I have zero welding experience and seems a little past my ability.

It's not too difficult a project, really, once you get into it. I admit, it seems daunting at first. If I did it again with the knowledge I have now, I'd have chosen 11 gauge sheet metal instead of 16 gauge. I'd have also cut the holes a lot bigger. I was worried about working around the ridges in the bed floor, but the metal bends so easily, you could flatten those out or bend the patches to fit better. I'd have also spent more than ten minutes welding on scrap to figure out how to get a good bead going without blowing right through the metal.

If I could have found a rust-free bed, I'd have bought that and just cut the whole bottom out and welded it in as one piece to mine. That would have been much, much less tedious.

Finally got around to an engine oil-leak delete :)

New fel-pro gasket and a fumoto drain valve for celebration :D

Interesting Toyota doesn’t have a magnet on their oil plug like Chevys. I think I’m going to add a magnet to the outside of my pan to seen what it catches.

I have the exact same one. It's a great one. I have it in storage for now since I got a shell a year ago but in case I go topless again, it will go back on.

I really like it so far. Just looks classy. I'm not a fan of a full shell, I want one but it would only be on for about 4 total weeks an entire year. From hunting and camping trips. The tonneau just fits my family's needs a little better. For now. Till the kids get bigger and have bigger toys. Haha!

Added the bed floor tie down rings to the corners when I put my bed back on the frame. In the past month, I've gone from having only the four factory tie down points, to 14! Idk how I ever got by before lol.

I've been thinking about them, especially for hunting and the early mornings. Just not sure the route to go.

There are some good posts on this forum. I ran a hot line back to a pressure switch on the tailgate (plus kill switch for when I want it off). It was a simple and cheap install once I added a basic led kit. It proved necessary since the bed light can’t do its job when there’s a cover in the way.
