Yes this is one of the SC cals, which we are doing now. We got all the N/A guys knocked out (except for a few ecus needing further investigation), the YWF/SC guys are less in total but require individualized work so that's what we are doing now

Sorry Mat, just got to a point in my time to install and make a short run (holiday weekend got me). The good news is that the GL is working as advertised and noticeable then the DS was what I was expecting. The entire time last tune when I was trying to “feel” the new options they are very noticeable now.

    Big thanks to Mat!!!

Read all 157 pages of this... Lots of evolution and I understand the need to change your model. @OVTune look forward to your release of the tundra tune pack. Will there be a way to preview what base tunes were created for each ECU? I'm not planning on going to a dyno to fine tune. Only plan to pick a base tune (or 2 depending on octane tunes) then maybe turn features on or off in the software.

It seems incredibly challenging to get any kind of response out of OVTune. I've tried email, facebook, messenger and tags on here...once they have several hundred dollars from you, their responsiveness ends. I can't even get a response, much less an ETA. I'm running a stock drivetrain 2018 Tundra, which should take all of 5 seconds for them to forward files for.

We did post (along with being on our website) we were gone from 10th to 13th. I just got back, and we also posted that 2018 Calibrations had a bug that we just fixed.

We first got your ECU info on the 8th, and your facebook message today...

I do not respond to facebook messenger, generally.

We are working on getting it done as quickly as possible. For 18+ it will be this week.

ALSO, 18+ vF Tuner support is 100% functional. This is only a tune package thing that is being worked on for release this week.

07-17 vF Tuner support, we don't have an exact timeline yet.

I'm admittedly a tuning noob, but in following the directions, I submitted my info and I have to wait for a response from you before I can tune the truck...and I'm looking for gearlock functionality and base programming for an 18.

No this is incorrect. When using vF Tuner you can unlock the stock ECU (which is inside the vF Tuner install folder)
you only have to submit info if you ordered the tune pack and are requesting tunes via tune pack, scheduled to release via the update we fixed this week.

Well that makes sense with my experience, as I'm waiting on the tune pack. Glad to hear I'll have it this week.

We should have all pending 2018 stuff done by friday, including a new version of vF tuner releasing too, with updated tables, mapping, etc.
This includes tune packs with features.

Yes I am aware we posted we are now setting up / working on supercharged tundra files.

I'm guessing people aren't seeing these posts.

If you have a 2018 truck, just wanted to let you know Toyota recently released yet another ECU update and new ECU version.
I dont yet know if this is something all trucks need, but just so you know if you get this update we currently don't have any support for it. I am working on it right now.

It was just recently released, so there was no way to have it planned ahead, or by july, etc. As far as I know it did not even exist at that time.

Anyone know what is different about the 2019 and 2020 trucks that has delayed aftermarket tuning support for so long ?

Some super complicated password protected stuff or what ???

Not bagging on OVT at all... just an observation... and noticed it carries over to all the aftermarket tuners. (Bullydog/HPT/OVT)... and has probably prevented alot of supercharger installs as a result.

Matt... have you dabbled with the '20 trucks yet ?
Just curious how long I need to wait before being able to screw with my 2020. :monocle:

The data is not possible to obtain off the ECU by any normal / standard way, unlike other ECUs.

We have a way we do it, and it's why we are currently the only ones capable of providing support for 2019s. All 2019s are supported by us so they aren't really delayed anymore.
I expect to have 2020s unlocked this weekend if I can get the time to finish benching it.
