I just said good bye to my third and last first gen Tundra. I gave my '04 to my son and it is in fine shape. I bought a low mileage '06 that my mechanic advised me against because of the frame rust. But it was so purdy. I put thousands into that truck. Last month the brakes went out. Two garages said they couldn't fix it. The dealer dropped the gas tank to route the lines and it was a disaster. He refused to work on it and said it would only leave the dealership behind a tow truck.
I know there is somebody with more skill than me that will get that truck running on a new frame or patch the frame. I traded it on, bite my tongue, a newer Tacoma. Just can't fathom the size of the new Tundras.
So goodbye to all you great first gen guys and gals...keep them running.
There's one on the lot at Berglund Toyota in Lynchburg that I had a three year relationship with, maybe you can breathe new life into her.

Hurry, let’s talk shit about him.

Congrats on the Tacoma, they are great trucks. I had a ‘14 for a few months and I loved it.
