I use one of those when I tile, it’s real nice to help make complicated cuts around jambs, fireplaces, corners, etc.

Nice! Amazing how open a place looks when the dark faux wood paneling goes away :puke:

Thanks man. It’s been quite the process. We painted all the panelling and it came out way better than expected. Just had an agent here she thinks it has a good chance in only being on the market for days.

Forgot the before..But it was an ugly wood deck! Looks patchy cause it was wet after I rinse. Still need to prep and seal.

I will have to look at the engineer drawings on the drainage. Great idea (again) and will look into this.

We are attempting to match the front of the house.

These are the only pics I have on hand at the moment for reference.

    Found my next project...thanks wind.
Two (or is it one) tree(s) uprooted by the wind last week that are now just leaning into the bigger tree. Gotta take em down before they fall onto the garage.

After the dog buried a hole into the neighbours yard, I've spent a couple days lining a couple portions of the fence (100') and partially buried in ground, some fancy chicken wire. It is supposed to stop them from digging as it doesn't feel good on their feet if they dig, but isn't seen, as it's under the stone and grass. You bend it into an "L" and put the shorter portions along the fence and the rest on ground and then lay soil or stone over it (you can see a portion of it on the fence in my case).

For this corner, I graded 2 yards of 3/4" river rock, about 3" deep, landscaping fabric and staples first of course.

The Tundra Crewmax holds 1/2 yard each trip. So 4 trips and who knows how many wheelbarrows later and I'm done. The Tundra has been getting a workout this fall with landscaping projects.

Took care of the base trim today. Some of the bricks I dug up a few weeks ago were reused. All that’s left is the window and door trim. I put brick around the base to keep critters from getting under it and dying. What ever is under there now will have to fight to get out.

So after two years I finally got up into my attic above my master bedroom and discovered when they added the addition of this bedroom they only went with R-19 insulation batts...this room is freezing in the winter and hot in the summer so I'm not surprised. Where I live it should be R-49 so I needed another 10.75" of blown-in on top of the batts. I also decided to insulate my garage attic as well as the small attached shop since there was nothing there to begin with. Will make winter time projects a bit nicer. Had to cut in some soffit vents since that side of the house didn't have any to begin with so did those yesterday and then blowd er in today which didn't take as long as I thought it would. Here's to better energy efficiency.
Here are some pics and a lil timelapse before my GoPro died for those interested.

We are trying to replace our driveway, but evidently crews are hard at work so much they wont return phone calls or emails.

We had one guy out two weekends ago and still waiting on his estimate. He did text me the other day and tell me he's been out of town working
and the estimate will be ready shortly.

Maybe they all skerd, cause its a lot of driveway.

I'd be curious as to what they quote you. I've got a long driveway that I'm looking to expand/replace and I've estimated around $20K which seems high. Haven't got a quote yet, but scared to get those numbers.

Got a quote 2 years ago for just driveway

our main driveway is 34 x 36 and 11 x 33 apron and another 85.6 feet x 16.6 feet drive beside the house going into back yard

all in $22k with rebar and 2 inch of gravel base.
he gave me $3100 disc for so much concrete

Getting new estimates since we want the work done this year. May not be possible though and we just doing half of the 85.6 length, up to that fence.
So the caregivers for my special needs daughter have a place to park so she can move safely from the vehicles to the house.

This is a pic from the previous owners

    old house.jpg

I was told if you call your local ready mix companies, they will tell what the charge is per yard. and you can measure yourself and use an online concrete calculator to figure just that raw material cost.
    https://www.concretenetwork.com/concrete/howmuch/calculator.htm

My own cypherin - I come up with 33 yards just on driveway, city side walk and apron, plus another 5-7 for entry side walk and front porch slab. Im looking at about $6K just in ready mix alone... lol

Well kitchen is finally getting torn out by water and mold mitigation company after weeks of air testing and spore samples. Good old leaky dishwasher. 1B7107A7-ED3C-4ED7-9AE0-F7DC66350708.jpg

Concrete is expensive! We were gonna go bigger on our drive, but we were already around 12'x175' before getting to the turn to the garage and that was high enough. Gonna be interesting when the pool goes in around next year or next.
Luckily they're doing it. Seen some companies try their hardest to say it's fine. Hopefully process goes smooth and quickly.

Cleared out some tree/bushes that got overgrown and scalped the grass where I park my camper. Going to spray with a grass killer and debating on if I’m going to dump about 6 yards of road base to make a camper pad or not.

Need to fix the fence between the two posts and put another one on the house side. Planning on using a 12’ ranch gate and then facing it with 6’ tall fence pickets. Y’all think that will work out ok?

    planning to use this: https://north40.com/ranch-king-1-3-4-pasture-gate#horizontalTab

I was going to take the posts out but they are cemented in. Thinking on the house side I will put a steel pole and cement that in, then use that to bolt the j hook hinges through and support the weight of the gate. Gate will swing to the center wood post and latch there. Normal fence between the two wood posts

Did the door trim today. Tomorrow will be the window trim and it’ll be done. Then I can focus on killing all the crab grass on both lawns. Also, had a mouse in there the other day. Little bugger ate a hole in my grass seed bag. Set a trap and a few hours later it got him. 54B17933-117C-475F-AE76-0313223F8733.jpg
