Rad! Those are pretty neat units.

The manual machine is real fun I must say. And it’s a serious workout for all your bike muscles. It takes a lot of work to balance a full suspension bike. After a few 5 minute sessions I’m shaking trying to stay up haha. Plus it seems to get me stoked to ride the next season because I’m progressing my skill through the winter :smokertransformer:

I do need to work on my cardio. Wife found a used spin bike for us. Once the basement is finished I’ll set that up and try to brush up.

Well that was an interesting project. Vinyl wrapped my frame today. I ordered factory decals to finish. Oh and I have to wait to install my frame protection and cable holds due to 3 nutserts breaking loose in the frame:mad:. Ordered a nutsert kit on Amazon. Looks like whoever assembled it didn’t put any anti seize on any bolts. Anyway what y’all think?

Now I'm back to window shopping bikes. LOL! No way I can afford to upgrade for awhile, but I can dream. I'm starting to eyeball enduro bikes. Seems like they'll fit the bill for the technical singletrack and occasional downhilling I like to do. The Norco Range A2 with 27.5" wheels looks sweet.

I rode Norco back in my racing days. Started off with a Norco Bigfoot which ended up having everything other than the frame swapped eventually to use in XC racing, then a Norco Rampage for freeride and North Shore riding. I've always liked them.

My Specialized Rockhopper is good as far as quality goes. I had a Specialized 415 FSX for freestyle BMX back in high school. It was great. I feel as though their newer mtn bike offerings are a little overpriced though. I've also been looking at Kona and Santa Cruz bikes, but have no direct experience with them.

Not a downhiller, but I've been out quite a bit on the trails around here. Our bikes got stolen a year ago, and through the insurance settlement (we carry replacement value coverage) I was able to buy a couple of used bikes off of Pinkbike that were significant upgrades to what we had. We ended up with a couple of Pivot Mach 5.5 bikes. I've never owned a carbon bike before this. I love it. Mine is the anniversary edition with carbon wheelsets and +27.5 tires. That thing will eat up rocks like no tomorrow.

I ride a little more conservatively nowadays. Last fall I had a hell of a high speed crash right before elk season. Messed up my wrist and hand pretty bad, and it took several months to get it fully healed. I ride more for fitness than adrenalin.

My homie and I rode a hike n bike called Bighorn Ridge just outside Hinton on Sunday. 5 km long, 500m vert, single track.

The rip down was killer. You can see by the weather, the ground was mint! It was so fast rolling yet sticky when you needed. Combos of river rock, loamy dirt with skiffs of pine needles and natural roots made for one of the funnest trails I’ve rode. The trail was long straight shoots into long fast corners covered by masses of old man’s bearded spruce. The perfect amount of perpendicular rooted lips provide perfect launch points to sail into the next trail dip or corner. A few longer rough-cut wooden bridges protrude up out of the ground make for nice manual pads on your way down. A lot of the trail has a natural water path that creates fast, flowy switchbacks and moguls throughout. A true single track of single tracks, that fully delivered on the decent :bikewhoops::headbang:

I will totally rip it again.

Nice, I love hearing the cam rider laugh with joy the whole way down. That’s how I roll too, literally can’t wipe the smerk off my face when I’m flying down!

Hopefully going to go to Thunder mountain this weekend to ride the Fort Hill line. It is monstrous for an open Pro line at the bike park.
This gives you a great idea of how big it really is.
I've hit the whole line a dozen times up to the last booter. It started raining when I wanted to hit it and I decided to not ride it wet.
    So much fun!
