OK thanks for the info , so I will order the Bilsteins 6112 front assembly today , do I go for the 2.50 lift/level or do I go 1.90 which is almost a 2 inch lift , right ? I think the largest tire/wheel combo (no cutting) without going 3 inches in front only requires 1.50-2.00 inches so why do the extra .50 , I read that it can cause some problems with traction control and the upper control arms when maxing out to the full 2.50 , Thank You.

I haven't heard of any problems with traction control, nor have I experienced any with my 3/1 lift (on stock UCA's)

Chances are you should be just fine with stock UCA's at 2.5".
The reason they say it causes problems is if you go wheeling, you'll experience a wide range of wheel travel. At the angle of the UCA when lifted, too much downward wheel travel would cause the UCA to hit or rub your coil. I have yet to experience that on 3". (But I rarely go off-road and when I do, it's only on some trails to my hunting cabin and some fishing holes. Nothing like some of these guys do) Although a few of guys on this forum needed the aftermarket UCA's at 2.5-3". Every truck is different. Some need it, some don't. Hard to say unless you actually put them on.
Worst case scenario, you put them on and find you need UCA's, set them on 1.9" and if you want to go taller after a while, get UCA's and adjust back up to 2.5".
Exactly why I like adjustable coilovers.

Ordered the Bilstein 6112 for the front and the 5100 for the rear pre assembled and ready to install , should be here by Tuesday the 7th.
I don't see the need for the upgraded rear 5160 as opposed to the 5100 when I will not tearing it up off road. I hope to achieve the added height and of course a smooth ride .

Good plan. That'll help with a smoother ride and added height!!

I think I'm gong to go with a 3/1 leveling kit with 295/70r18s maybe coopers or toyos??.... I don't want to void any warranties as my truck is a week or so new. This will work right? I don't see info for the 3/1 kit ProComp

You won't void a warranty with a leveling kit. And yeah it should fit depending on wheel offset.

Thanks for this... Looking at the tire sizes for a Gen III... My OEM tires are 255/70/18
    • 20″ rims: 285/65 R20 – 4/10ths wider, 1.6″ taller than factory.
If I go to the and compare, the 285/65 R20 is 2.5" taller and 1.2" wider. ;) Did I get an oddball OEM tire size from the dealer?

I’d bet the wheels are 18x8 with a +60 offset. Look in the wheel and tire section for a stickied thread called Largest Tire You Can Fit Stock for All Generations, that has the info in it.

I have 20 in. wheels which I like. Is the offset the same? I would not mind getting a little wider track but do not want to go beyond my stock wheel flairs. They are the ones that do not have the bolts exposed.

So what really do you gain with 6112 compared to 5100 in the front.
I have an 04 access cab 4x4 TRD. Looking for level not lifted. From what I think I seen was YES access cabs already have slightly taller front ends. I agree that setting max travel is better than over travel on up or down travel.
Maybe I read info wrong and 6112 don' even got my model.

I think I also read that if installing 5100 on 4x4 access cab the two highest settings could not be used.

    I could’ve sworn the 5100’s are a 2.0 shock, and the 6112’s are a 2.5 shock. I could be wrong, but I could’ve sworn I read that somewhere.

Alright lift guys, I have a 2.5 inch RC leveling kit on now but want to go a little higher. Anyone has experience with the RC 3.5 inch bolt on kit? My tire guys are recommending it that way if I am displeased I can go back to factory. Any recommendations? I would like to lift her about 4 inches without doing too much irreversible damage.

Is it adjustable? I don’t have any experience with RC, but I would have spent more too.

Yes I can add 2 quarter inch spacers to the front, I didn’t touch the back.

Honestly, swap it for an in-coil spacer or coil-over that adjustable.
