I am sure this has been asked a million times. For those of you who live in Canada, where do you find the best places and prices for your oil and filters? I am reading that Mobil 1 full synthetic is a favourite (I see much debate). I also need a 64mm tool for the oil change? I apologize, I just got the truck not too long ago.

Shop around different retailers for lowest prices, promotions and rebates. I was able to get 6 5 gallon jugs of valvoline for $66 from Walmart. Engine oil is all the same, if you change it within the manufacturers recommended interval. Oil filter and gasket I ordered from the dealer. Stock up since they charge shipping. It came out to like $3.86 for filter and $0.86 for gasket, each.

Also make sure to update to the aluminum I'll filter housing, from the cheap plastic oil filter housing.

I think 64mm is the correct size of the tool. Double check using Walmart or Amazon site and search by tundra or your engine size. See the reviews.

Get the Motivx tools @AZBoatHauler recommended. The Motivx filter housing wrench is forged aluminum. Cheaper chinese imitations are cast aluminum and are not as strong. Members have experienced breaking of cast filter housing tools.

The plastic filter housing is also prone to breakage. If you're changing your own oil and not over-torqueing the housing, you may get by without breaking the plastic housing. If you change to the aluminum housing @TILLY recommends, you'll have to swap the longer center perforated tube from the plastic housing to the aluminum housing. The spring and valve plate in the bottom of the housing must remain. Many other threads here on this, do a search.
