As luck would have, I go to start the truck today and NADA

Give it boost with the misses car, let her run for 20 minutes, shut down and tried to start. NADA

We just started talking batteries with @Outbound and suddenly without warnings, bad battery. It was a Wally World battery and had a sticker for 6/18, it’s still under warranty but no receipt.

got ALOT done today. Field was taken care of by a bush hog that was lent to me. Also had the grabber thig that allowed me to just pick up whole trees and put them in piles. Got 3 massive piles I have to burn now!
About 30 trees down now. Got a bit more to go

I’ve been keeping my eyes open for a 7.3 f-350 manual. I need something to tow big shit. Tundra will do most of the work though

That’s kinda why I bought the ‘86 F250. It’ll pull heavy stuff better, especially once I get a turbo on the old 6.9. The tundra does okay, but anything more than 6000lbs and it gets tossed around pretty good.

i tow 7000 lbs comfortably with the tundra. but i need something that can tow 10-12k on rare occasions now. just want a beater to so i can load the bed up and not give two shits about keeping it clean
tundra will still do 90% of my towing work, f-350 would be heavy heavy towing and plowing in the winter.

Gotta love the logic... get a Ford beater so you can keep the 1st gen neat and clean. :D

I don't think that would fly with my other half.

Hey boys, i need a new battery for my 4.5 gen Camry (2001). What's the cheapest place I can buy a battery? Walmart? Autostoned?. I'm almost sure warranties are governed by brands and battery companies, not the actual business itself too

Pepboyz is where I bought my Bosch. They have a great warranty pre and post expiry if you buy the right one. Read the fine print. Might be less if you buy online and pick up in person.

Yes Grasshopper. Those will work nicely. The offer is always there when you want to give up on Magic and switch over to relying on Pure Inner Chi.

Cheap is what cheap is. Wally World is hands down cheap. I just picked up a $60 battery for an old RAV4 which I ended up selling. From my understanding, most batteries are sourced from the same place and are the same regardless of warranty, they just tack on $$$ for better warranties (which are almost always prorated). Next up, I would recommend Costco, especially if it's a family car and you intend to maintain your Costco membership in order to keep the warranty.

However, Bosch is great recco, and is more $$$. Use coupons and pick up at PepBoyz as PHM mentioned. I had two battery replacements in 2 years, that I accidentally let drain down to zero.

That's my understanding. There's only 3 big manufacturers of batteries, then a few smaller special ones.

Filet lacks fat, so the oil in the dressing definitely helps fill that void. Italian dressing is an all-around great marinade, especially for leaner pork and chicken cuts or hanger and flank steaks.

But there's something to be said for saltwater brine with herbs for an hour or two, depending how thick your meat is. I'll grab stuff out of the yard like garlic, parsley, rosemary, thyme, pound it out and chuck it in the brine for extra flavor.

I'd be shocked if an orange correcting sponge and No7 Rubbing Compound or its heavy duty counterpart won't clean it out. Looks like the rust is in the oxidized outer. But you'd be shocked also what ordinary CLR for the kitchen/bath will do for rust, as will Bleche White.

Oh and since @FrenchToasty was talking about it, I might as well show my butt from the night before we disappeared into the mountains for a week.

Was marked 7.8lb, I usually try to pack in at least 15lb if I'm going through the all-day effort. 8.5 hours at 275° to break stall and hit 205° internal. Tented for 90 minutes before sliding the scapula out and breaking it down. Scraps on half a sheet pan was all that was left after the carnage.

I openly share my rub recipe to anyone interested. A good rub makes all the difference and the pre-mixed store bought shit is a ripoff.

Lookin good! The 12 pounder did great this weekend, had carnitas tacos last night and again today at lunch!
I’m all ears for a good rub! And I agree, the very first tri tip I did; I used my own homemade concoction, best rub I’ve used to date!
