    Welcome!

Anything in particular against the brake controller? I have yet to tow with mine and I will be soon. There any do's or don'ts or things to watch out for?

Welcome! I am one of the few that have had success with the factory brake controller.

You're definitely in the minority! I have another thread going on mine. My first tow last year, I took my TJ to Jeep Jamboree and couldn't stop in time at a stop sign around a curve at the bottom of a mountain. Had the gain at 6 or 7 and stopped about 8-10 feet past the stop sign. Thankful I didn't get in an accident, it was close. That was the first sign of trouble. Since then I've gotten the "Trailer brake controller error Contact dealer" error, and now there's nothing.

Yikes, glad you're able to tell the tale afterwards. I will pay close attention to mine and hope there aren't any issues
