    Hey folks, just got myself a 2008 CrewMax (Red) with the tow and OR package. My 3nd Toyota, I currently own a 3rd Gen runner as well. Any little maintenance tips or special parts to replace are well appreciated. Truck has ~105k miles (170k km) and was well cared for, mostly stock. I look forward to the things this forum has to offer!

    Welcome from Utah. I have a 2008 Limited (Salsa Red Pearl) with 150,000 miles and the window weatherstripping was coming apart on a couple of the windows. It is very easy to pull and replace those four pieces.

    Welcome. I picked up my 08 last year with 108k

    Do everything and anything you can for maintenance. All the consumables and wearables. Give the truck a good reset. Check the bed mounts for rust. It's pretty common.

    I’ll definitely get as much fluids and filters replaced as I can, the truck seems pretty rust free so hopeful my that carries through to those!

    Hello! I bought my 07 just under a year ago with 190xxx on it. Will probably roll over 220k in a week or so...i drive a ton for work. Recently replaced the rear shocks (they were stock) and put a new k&n air filter. The filter upped my mpg by a couple points. Other than that just the basic maintenance and you should be good to go!

    Also might be worth checking the calipers. I had 2 of the 4 pistons seized on each side on the front.

    Some decent mileage on it in that year! I actually saw that on Project Farm’s YT channel the K&N filter doesn’t filter near as good as Wix(best in the tests) and a few others. I had a K&N in my 4Runner that I’ve since removed after seeing that video. This truck came with the same thing and I’m waiting for a new Denso filter from Rock auto, I’d take a look at his channel not just for that video, tons of other cool, DIY and semi professional tests.
