mine didn’t play well with the cap tether, so I removed mine.

Finally got the under hood LEDs installed...had them on my work bench for weeks...def glad I did this one, they’ll come in handy when working on the truck and run outta daylight!...they def helped me notice that I have to clean my engine bay as well!

I guess that ensures there's no issues with a loose or poor fitting cap throwing a code.

@Jim LE 1301 i did notice on mine that removing the cap strap allowed it fit better

@OnespeedTRD there is the eBay link posted, and the black one is also available on the wish app, which I had never heard of until someone else posted about this gas cap. everything comes from China, so be prepared for like 7 weeks shipping time.

 

Mine has been on for a few months with no issues.

This happened last night. Got hit on passenger side. Witnesses said my the truck was in the air. God was with me though. I walked out through the back window without a scratch. All air bags deployed and the sos thingy came on to alert police of the accident, which I was impressed with and probably made no sense to the person on the other line because I was like, WTF just happened. No one else in truck with me and the people in the other car were okay as well. Probably totaled which sucks because I loved this truck and only a month old.

Holy shit! Glad everyone is ok, but sorry that your truck had to make the ultimate sacrifice. You may feel fine now, but get yourself checked out. Fellow at work got t-boned and felt fine for 2 days, then had back pain. Turned out he had 3 fractured vertebrae that had to be fused. Hope you're really fine, though.
