    Thanks Adam.

This powder coat (same as the tow hooks and calipers) has been very durable thus far and has performed well. I anticipate it should stand up well to some hooks too... uhm... errh... I hope.

They are available in anodized Clear/grey, black, and red.

The anodized red was very well done and crisp but just didn’t match any of my red enough for me to install as they come.
Get some, blast them, then coat them in blue.

I haven’t used them again but have seen some really good work come out of their shop.
Even the guy that recommended them has had engine rebuilds, rock crawler welding work
and a load of aftermarket installs on his gmc.
Their parking lot and garages are always full of 4x4s and custome rides. Even classics.

It was one of those days.
Fortunately, I didn’t hop on the interstate with my family in the truck.

Attached some large blind spot mirrors. Less than $5 each from Walmart if I can remember correctly. I know there are some fancy spotter mirrors out there, but this one has worked well for me on my old truck. If going this route, I wouldn't recommend the smaller ones. Those are useless in my opinion and you'd have to squint every time you look at it.

So the dad punished his 16 year old son because he made the dumb decision to allow his 16 year old son to work on a customer's $50K truck, and then didn't check the work, then tried to "make it right" by making his son "work it off" until the dad recouped the money he lost because of his original dumb decision?

I wound't use them again just based on that whole chain of poor decisions by the dad.

Either way, glad you, your family, and your truck came out OK. Hope the 16 year old son finds a better employer.

That's a bit presumptuous. How do we know that the Dad hadn't personally trained his son, and had seen him to great work in the past? If that's the case then this was an instance of the kid not doing his best, and the consequences would be pretty fitting. Good life lesson for the son to see that he should take pride in every job and do his best every time.

Just playing devil's advocate here, because it's all pure speculation on both sides of the coin.

I see black door interior handles and black door edge guards. What other goodies have you got there? :)

Happy installing with pics to follow when installs are complete.

Unless the grille is customized and made of metal, then it is not going to be powder coated. The inserts for our trucks are plastic and would have us use traditional spray paints on them. :)

I raced, crashed, built and worked on every thing I could get my hands on at 16.
    Bikes and autos.
Simply being 16 is not a prerequisite to ignorance.
Many 16 year olds are competent, eager to learn and somewhat responsible.

Allowing the son to work off the monies was probably a decent learning moment.

I didn’t post to beat up on the shop or the kid.
I was offering an example of what can possibly happen.
And to always check everything when having work done.

Explaining why it was wrong, having clear consequences and being able to learn/correct said incident probably went a long way in his life. This is how most of us learn... through mistakes.

I’ve seen grown men do as dumb, if not more so, stuff on all kinds of vehicles.

Nice! I have the OEM tailgate lock too. You will really enjoy that feature. I had scrolled around awhile to look... I am not sure. Do you have bed lights installed already? If not, now would be the time to pull that trigger so you can route wiring at the same time with the same entry grommet point. It is just a suggestion...

The armrest wireless charger is a cool something I just have to miss out on... :(

    Great day!
