Dobinson C59-302 on 2001 RWD

Will these springs fit on a 2001 2WD with 5100’s? I know I could’ve just used my Oem but they were rusted. I bought these off 1st gen and they didn’t specify it was only for 4x4 but on the invoice it says 4x4. Will I have any problems? Thanks!

 

Here is what I have on my 2002 V6 RWD Tundra.
Dobinsons / Bilstein 5100 2-2.5"
Front Lift Kit 2000-2006 Tundra
Color Spring: Teal

Add 1/4" Shim Spacer To Correct Drivers Side Lean
Dobinsons Part Number: PS59-4030

Blue is the Dobinsons springs, Pretty sure red is the Bilstein 5100s, and pink is the drivers side lean spacer.

I've had zero issues with this, and absolutely love the ride. Much better than the worn out OEM set up.

Edit: Also in the rear I have Alcan leaf packs at 2inch lift also. Bilstein 5100 shocks in the rear.

Ok, that’s good to hear. I am about to do this swap but I don’t have that driver side lean spacer. Is it really necessary? I never noticed a lean if I’m in or out of the car

 

I guess it depends on if its leaning? Mine was leaning just a wee bit.

Here is another aftershot after its settled a little bit. I've been told it still leans a little towards the dirvers side. I'm not sure if its the parking lot or if I need another shim.

 

Yeah. The Starship is leaning to the Portside Scotty. Need full warp speed in the front left quadrant.

 

Well then... not to hijack this thread, but...

I wonder how much more of a lean correcting spacer I would need?

Or just wait until I rebuild my front end, and see what it does?

I'm firmly against any sort of spacer or "shim" in suspension.

 

Why?

 

I don't like spacer lifts, but you can get away with a 1/4" shim spacer to correct a lean. No problems.
