There are folks on this forum (and especially this thread) that are probably 18-80 years old. Everyone has there own likes and dislikes. Some of the mods give me great ideas and are mods I want to do and others are not for me (and yet I will "like" posts of things I would never do because of the quality of the workmanship - because unlike @ElNopal I have cut a few holes that are mistakes and have to order a few replacement parts to clean up my messes). Almost universally folks here are willing to share knowledge and lend a helping hand, most often to a forum member stranger in need. That is real class!

FYI, if you have exhaust on order with @dirtydeeds , they had to evacuate due to the fires. Expect a little bit of a delay on your build.

Interesting they leave the old tint on. I went to Dynamic tint in Mesa Az, they gave a lifetime warranty on my ceramic EXPEL tint, they let customers in the shop, they pulled all my old tint. Seems like if you leave and tint over the old stuff that eventually the old stuff will go bad thus creating a problem for your new ceramic job.

Getting an alignment is worth the money since you just dropped a good bit of $’s on the new rubber and it can not hurt. But, don’t rule out a bad tire install job as a likely root cause or worse a slightly out of manufacturing tolerance rim if they are new. You can do some quick investigation yourself by checking out the amount of weight on each wheel and looking at the position of the red dots on the new tires. A sh!t ton of weigh on a wheel is cause for question. For the red dots, Here is a video link of a simple explanation of marking dots on new tires that get ignored frequently by shops. (Not by me, but simple explanation in the beginning). If you see the red dots are not roughly 180Deg from the valve stem, I would insist they be re-done the correct way. There is lots of long term engineering issues for this that drive the manufactures to add the dots to individual tires. If any doubt, get them road forced checked at same visit to the shop to save you from chasing the problem.

    Yes, they were road forced.

It shakes at all speeds, but not consistently. It seems to depend on the road, which is why I'm thinking alignment. Sometimes it won't shake until 50-60mph, sometimes it will do it around 10pm then stop once I speed up. Sometimes, at a consistent speed, it will shake, then stop shaking as the road changes. I tried to take a video today while on cruise control, but as soon as I got the phone out, it stopped.

I made the appointment at a different shop, so I think I'll just tell them my situation and see what they think. I will also check my dot alignment in the morning, thanks!

@100LL have you checked all your lugs to ensure none are loose? Seems odd to me that it varies so much

Where did you hear that? They're out of Escondido and I don't see anything about evacuations there.

When I installed my Toytec and Camburg stuff I went to the top rated alignment shop near by.
After leaving I had a clear shimmy.
I’m mean the steering wheel would shake pretty noticeably.

The next morning I had already lined up my first 750-1000 mile oil change with the dealer.

While there the service tech asked me to come out and look at something.

The caster bolt tab had been broken completely off and for some reason the alignment shop had removed the bottom bolt from my coil overs, tried to replace it, sheared it off and left it like that, never saying anything to me.

Luckily none of it came lose before getting to the dealership and they were able to correct it.
    Of course, at my cost.

I was literally leaving the next morning to drive to Colorado... from Alabama!

The coilover bolt could have come out at any time.

Luckily, after the dealer made corrections I took my truck, my invoice from the dealer and tons of pictures to the alignment shop immediately thereafter.

They had put the owners 16 year old son, who was training, on my alignment.

After apologizing they reimbursed me what they had charged for the alignment and what the dealer charged for repair.
They did a credit to my card right then.

With that being said... check everything!

Hey, do you have the part number for this rack? Is it hard to modify? What exactly needs to be done if you don't mind sharing?

Finished up the AJT stuff this evening.

The silver and wood oem panels will be wrapped in a brushed gunmetal eventually.

Mine just showed up this evening, too late to do anything with it. After reading this I'll definitely have my son help with the install, mainly just so he can lay under the truck and torque down bolts... so I don't have to.

I did add a few TVD decals this evening.

I run mine through the touchless on occasion without issue. Each one is a little different though, so you may have to fold your mirrors in.

2020s don't have an antenna to remove. Also, touchless won't hurt the older antennas either.

Wow!! How could they not at least be supervising the 16 year old? Glad they made it right in the end, but that could've been a fatal disaster at highway speeds!
