I have had a Tundra since 02' Green standard cab v6 with an 8 foot bed , 248,000 miles on her and still going STRONG , I use it for local projects almost every day. I also have a newer version of the Tundra if you will , 2014 double cab 4.6L 4x4 in the Silver Sky Metallic , only addition is the snap on Tonneau cover otherwise the truck is still stock. I am at 11,000 miles now averaging 16.8 mpg on mostly flat highway and roads in SNJ. I am looking to upgrade the wheels and tires without too much modification , preferably none and maybe the best cat back set up made for this model truck , maybe something with the airbox but maybe not worth the extra $$ not sure yet , The site is awesome with lots of die hard owners offering many tips and fixes so thanks and I look forward, sawz.

So I have a question that may seem out of the ordinary but here goes , why would some owners put wider wheels on the rear of the truck as opposed to the front , does it do anything other than stop the ability to rotate your tires ? I am fairly intelligent about many auto related issues but this one gets my curiosity going , I realize drag cars do it for traction at the strip but why truck owners ?

    * I should have stated that I see this set up around here all the time , SNJ.

I really like the Black Rhino Mint wheel in gloss graphite , it comes in 18's and 20's x 9 with a 13mm offset or x 10 with a 0 offset , any thoughts about these particular wheels from members here , I really want to change them out sooner than later , heck I almost bought TRD wheels on the bay last night but shipping was out of control, my truck has base wheels that are very low key to look at.

So nothing special done to her yet but surely will look different in time , first things first is a level kit , preferably the easiest one to install as well lol.
