Am I the only one who wants an Access Cab

Thats how I feel too. It always told me "I need an SUV, but I want to be a truck guy"

I can go everywhere an AC can go, plus carry more.

 

And looking like you're driving a soccer mom SUV with a bed on it. Might work for you, not a good look for me.

But still, there's something about the rounded body line of the back cab that makes the DC look goofy as hell to me, it makes it look like someone took a Sequoia, cut it off behind the rear doors, then slapped a bed on.

I also admit, I have a little envy over the options on the DC. I'd really love having a sunroof, and the overhead console with temp gauge and stuff, and more room to throw lots of subs and amps.

 

I forgot about the sunroof. I'd like to have one. Also, some of the DC's have side airbags which I wish I had. I heard once that 25% of all fatal accidents are side impacts.

I'm going to be honest for a minute. I don't think 1st gen Tundras are turning that many heads. Unless you're a die hard Toyota guy and appreciate the early 2000's trucks, you are not going to notice the guy that drives by in his 1st Gen Tundra.

 

DC has roll down back window + sun roof. Drop mic. End of debate.

 

Honestly I dont see the point of a double cab first gen... just get a 2nd gen if you want a huge long pickup truck. Ac first gens ftw

 

Facts. I'm obsessed with early 2000 Toyota vehicles and trucks for some reason. All my other friends are just like " shut the fuuuuck up dude"lolol

 

Not true, my AC barely fits in my garage, your truck wouldn't fit.

That low hood, that sweeping rounded back-end of cab, stubby looking little bed! It's all there!

 

I won't lie, this is why I couldn't buy a DC. It was at least 6" - 8" too big (for my garage).

Yeah. And circling back to your earlier statement in post #20. I’d have sold/traded my 2002 in 2005-06 for the DC, but I already had a 4 door mini-van at the time.
