truck is surging after quick and or sudden stops

Hi, hopefully I explain this correctly. I have a 2004 Tundra SR5 V8. When I stop quickly whether coming to a complete stop or a rolling stop sometimes my truck has no power when I try to accelerate or expecting my truck to move on its own idle, then all of a sudden there is a surge and my truck starts to move again. If I give it too much gas then the surge is much harder and louder. After these sudden quick stops I usually wait a few seconds then the truck engages and starts to move again. When it surges is as if someone hit me from behind. My truck shifts totally normal when on the street or hwy under normal driving conditions. Could there be a vacuum leak causing this or some type of a transmission problem? It's done this for a very long time. I wasn't using my truck for a long time as I had a company vehicle which I don't have any longer so I'm noticing this issue more with my truck. When I stop normal my truck doesn't have this problem. Sounds like a fuel filter clogged or a fuel pump failure coming on... when was the air filter replaced? pvc replaced... could be as simple as a MAF dirty... is the check engine light or CEL on?

 

I took my truck in for an oil change and had them check my fuel filter and it was very dirty and so was the air filter. This is the regular place I take my truck so I asked why didn't they know about these two filters being so dirty as they just didn't get this dirty. They didn't have an answer. I may need to find another place. Anyways, since these filters were changed it seems like my problem went away. I tried several times to cause the problem again and it didn't happen like in the past. Hopefully this issue is over but we shall see over the next week.

2x or the filter in the transmission is dirty... Or you could have a torque converter going bad.. Has the oil been checked in the rear differential and transfer case?
