Yeah and it was a fat cord! Not sure if that’s a good price but I think it’s cheaper than most of the places I hear about. It was a “kid” who’s parents bought a lot(stupid fancy homes being built) and what was left on the lot, he cut, split and seasoned. And he just gets to keep the cash from all the wood he sells. It’s better than his parents just giving him the money for doing nothing, and he helped us load the entire thing

I have never experienced anything like these sand dunes. It was absolute madness. People were going apeshit. There appeared to be little rules and people blew my doors off. The truck did well. I broke a new record of 204 on the trans temp :D and that was me babying it. I saw some guys that absolutely abused their rigs. This part of the state is really nice but I bet their winters are depressing. Not enough signal to upload pics.

Given a good running mule as payment for house work. Hasn't been driven regularly, but does run, and drive. It has get up, and go!

    Anyone know anything about these?

Well the Mercedes is being dropped off to the farm tomorrow as long as weather holds out. First things first, finding some 175/90r13 tires (probably going to get coker tires) then get the engine running. Once it’s running throw it on a trailer and get it to work to put it on a lift and inspect all the brake lines. If all checks out, do brakes, some tidying up and start driving the ol girl

Update to my previous predicaments. So after some looking around I found a new/used gas tank out here for 80$ saved buckets of cash installing it myself. I had a landslide of check engine codes come up. Replaced the gas cap and 2 dropped off, reset waited, 3 codes left. PO455, P0441, PO1422... slapped on the hewitt bypass kit today, reset and waiting. Tomorrow I slap on a the passenger side UBJ and LBJ....and if I can figure it out inner and outer tie rods. I already bought the parts but that inner tie rod instal is a little intimidating for me. I can see the finish line. Funny thing is I was gonna sell this truck last month with 144000 ,miles for 5,000 as is with a broken LBJ on the drivers side and no one wanted to buy it as is and now after the blood, sweat, and tears put into him and the fact that he is back in perfectly running condition we've re-bonded and now I cant sell it.

Those tie rods are easy to replace but if you are like me and appreciate a visual aid, here you go.

Just saw an Access Cab ping at $10,500 on dreggsliss. Has about 150k miles and is a single owner with a cap on the back. Looks like the perfect Grandpa Truck everyone dreams about getting their hands on.

A few pics and a video from those sand dunes. I was blown away by how big the park was. I didn't even see some of it. I may go back sometime when it's not a holiday weekend.

That's a row of vehicles on that dune in the distance.

Apparently there were two different dimmer knobs? One with the bulb is from a 2000. Guessing they changed it because a dial made more sense?

Same here, but its gonna be down in the 30s tonight. It was mid 90s yesterday. I guess this cold front is bringing fall with it. Works for me; I'm done with summer, and have been for a while.

After last nights shenanigans... I decided it best to sober up with an italian style omelet, 3 eggs, a big ole cup of coffee, and early morning birdsong down by the fire.

Don't bother with a re-paint. Everything I'm seeing from the pics you posted tell me you'll be able to polish out the single-stage job that's on it. OEM paint will add $$ to the sale, I'm sure. Unless you need it a diff't color.

I’ll save what I can. But there’s rocker rot starting on the driver side and some prior damage on the driver rear. Hood has a spot of rust too. But surface rust. We shall see.

the roofs looks like it’ll polish up great though

That's a plus. Realize I could be preaching to the choir here, but naval jelly is amazing for surface rust across an entire panel, or clearing out rusted chips. If you're not familiar, apply evenly, remove 10-15 minutes after application, clean remaining product off, buff, fill (if necessary), polish, seal. Done deal. Obvs won't fix body rot though.

What's the story on the front driver quarter panel being all saturated and shiny? Repaint? Or did someone take time to buff it out?
