**When you change it you need to swap the center tube. You need to put the one from the plastic cap into the metal cap so the filter isn't crushed. The one in the plastic is longer than the one in the metal one.

Have people had that happen here? Crazy. I went with the metal simply because it's more robust.

I know this has been done to death but I'm finally doing it. ohh and yes it is Flat finish. I hated the stock wheels with a passion. $40 later here it is.

I took the truck in for the 2 year and final Toyota Care oil change. They did the two recalls as well. Turn signals and low pressure fuel pump. They changed the cabin air filter. All good.

Dealer installed TRD dual exhaust system and tonneau cover. Personally installed TRD Pro grille and surround, side mirror caps, and TRD shifter.
I would've liked to go with P rated but wanted a wider tire. It's also nice to not worry as much going off road or over curbs, but each has its pros and cons.

Unless you are hardcore off roading or towing heavy, you will have no regrets. Better ride, better mileage.

Today...added a TRD sway bar and a TRD cold air intake. Checked the torque on the 1 1/2" Extreme Suspensions wheel spacers....found all lugs good. Washed and waxed.

Leveled, front bumper, LED headlight conversion. Soon - S&B Cold Air, Bilstein 6112/5160's, 35's.
Just recently put the TRD Pro grille on with color matched hood bulge. Upgraded to LED headlight bulbs.(that took two sets of bulbs to get good ones in there. Do not buy Auxbeam bulbs). On the plus side, I am quite efficient at taking the front of the truck apart now. Anyone else deem the headlight bulb replacement process as an engineering fail on the 3rd gens versus the 2nd generations? It was a 10 minute process on the older trucks. Now the entire front of the truck has to come apart. I am currently hovering my itchy trigger finger on the "Buy" button for an SP-9100 system since I have a bunch of Diode Dynamics lighting on it's way to my house.

Installed another round of mods. Spidertrax 1.25" spacers on the front/rear. This eliminated the tire rub I had on both the upper control arm and the front sway bar. No more rub! Before/after shot of the tire to control arm clearance below. Also a picture of where it rubbed on the sway bar before the spacers. Installed pedal commander too which I'm pleased with. Still have my black door handles to install, but it's already too hot so that will get done tomorrow.
