Hoping we get it today! I'm headed on a 5-6 hour one way drive tomorrow. Would love to have it, and see the differences.
And hell, *any possible* increases in MPGs would be thoroughly welcome.

Received and installed my tune yesterday. This morning I did a good test drive and the Gear Lock feature is not working. Direct Shift works great. My truck is one of those that had problem with retaining GL when it was incorporated last year. S Mode not Tow/Haul. I reflashed in the LA Fitness parking lot, did drive test and same result. On my previous tune, GL worked perfectly.
Emailed Matt via Zendesk.

 

Did a quick test drive with the new tune. Gear lock and Direct Shift working good. Trans shifts way smoother in general.

 

I received my cable in the mail, but I don't have a link or anything to download the software and pull my files to send in. Does anyone have instructions?

After you read through it you would of wished you sent the info to get the .reg file sooner to be closer to getting your actual tune.

 

Yeah, for whatever reason, I don't have a serial # yet...

What serial number? The master key? Or the reg key?

The reg key you need to send in your system ID to get.

Well, crap.

I found the master key. It was from an email I hadn't recognized, and was in fact in my spam.

Now I can launch the program, but when I hit the "Toyota Flash Tool" button, nothing happens.

 

Ahh, yes Good ol spam folder. So.. for MY laptop, reboot, double click on the flash tool and wait 3-5 minutes for the program to open. They said its a knows bug on Windows 10.

 

Yeah. It opens, but then the Toyota Flash Tool does nothing. I can let it sit indefinitely; no change.

Done, but that doesn't alter the function of vfTuner that I can find...still no Flash Tool.

 

Did you send in your system ID and get a reg key?

 

From the directions, I am supposed to install the software, click the tuner button, and screenshot the data that pops up (system ID).

I've installed, but when I click the tuner button, nothing pops up or happens, so I don't have a system ID to send in (that I can find). If there's something I'm missing, let me know! I don't think I have to be connected to the truck yet, but I could be wrong.

 

Does vF tuner launch?

The flash tool inside vF doesn’t launch?

You can try launching from program files (86) / vf tuner / vF flash tool.exe

otherwise AV has probably removed / quarantine it. You’d need to set exceptions or disable AV and reinstall.

I'm wondering if I missed the new file in my spam file...I previously never had your email responses sent to Spam folder but perhaps it made it in there this time? Regardless, I missed the file and might need some assistance in obtaining it again. Order #5090...I did get the response about the new refinements a couple months ago but haven't seen anything with that since...I sent a Zendesk response on the same matters but wanted to throw it on here too for perhaps a "reminder." Nonetheless, I look forward to you response(s)! Thanks Matt!

 

Trucks with S/Cs we have not released the files yet. We are still sorting through the logs and necessary updates for those customers, since a lot of custom tuning is required on top of the features.

i'm assuming mine is on there... i've been away and catching up on many pages of posts.

Order # 5058, want to just make sure it didn't automatically close in Zendesk, logs were sent in January 18th from Base tune.

if i Opt out of gear lock, will that speed things up at all?

i know your busy and individual customer happiness is hard to manage, but i really would be happy with just rev 001 form the logs i sent you! i imagine moving forward everything else i do would be through VFtuner.
