VF Tuner 3UR Support - Development Tools

It's not really a comparison. You buy HPTuners you then have to tune your truck.

Not the same case with us.
But it is comparable to VF Tuner our editing/ tuning software. Except we have many more tables.


However those are the 4 LOW tables.

There are no 4High tables.

Did you confirm that the 4H tables existed before making your statement about HPtuners?

 

yes, a friend confirmed they exist. Its second hand information, I have never claimed otherwise.

However, all of us in this thread are more interested in what OVTune can do with the 4wd hi throttle limits.

I haven't even purchased HP yet, YOU have my money. So personally, I would prefer to hear what YOU can do, as opposed to what the others can or cannot do.

 

I haven't purchased ANYTHING yet because nothing is avail for 2020's... but will buy whatever allows ME to do the tinkering/tuning.
If Mat has something that works like the HPT system... (allowing end-user full control) then that's possibly an option if/when 2020's are supported.

Are there any screenshots or videos showing the OVT software / user friendliness ?
Ive seen plenty of HPT videos/screenshots... but nothing of OVT.

There we go. This is my 2018. Not sure if other years are different. The limiters on the left for 1st and Rev (under FWD and REV) are all at max of 86 (which is listed on the right side as max). GEAR BASED 1st and 2nd are at 89. Not sure why. What Victor G showed us is 4wd low, which is at the bottom

Also looks like I can adjust the desired throttle angle, so I can make the sensitivity in D as it is in tow/haul-ass.

 

If you need more 4x4 ecu's to test the throttle limits, I'm for it. I can test and send you results in a few minutes.

 

You did however claim it as a fact. FYI guys HPTuners has this but OVTune can't do it.

I checked 3 separate ECUs in HPTuners, Viktor posted his, and now Cuban posted his.
NONE Have the tables.

Please do some datalogs. I can't fix what does not exist, and it is still my opinion looking through the code that such tables don't even exist.

put the truck in S mode 1rst gear, disable all traction, 4H, floor it and log.

 

Here is VFTuner in it's current state. We can't click on boxes, but we can open tabs on the left. From what Mat is saying we should be able to eventually turn on/off custom features (like gear lock and s-mode.

 

Are you basically going to look at throttle angle?

It doesn't matter if the tables exist or not. This guy says it, people believe it. Someone else messaged me today and they now think their tow haul is broken because of reading shit on here.

Hate to say it, but you will never be happy with it. No matter what happens, you will find something to complain about. While you're right in your ability to complain, seems a little bit childish.

There are no throttle restrictions in 4WD high. Tow/Haul works as it should with gear lock.

Oh, and he would state that something else must be going on because he KNOWS that he's got limits in 4WD high.

Better yet, he might just go out and barely press the throttle to show that he DOES have a problem.
