Just installed mine in my 2018 Limited CM yesterday. Man, what a difference, worth the money.

It has 4 modes; Eco,City, Sport, and Sport+. It changes the signal strength in the pedal and boost the signal. Watch the video above for his review, very good info.

I'm a little unclear after watching the video. If your favorite setting (City +4) feels similar to a stock truck with "tow/haul" setting on, what does this module bring to the table? Why not just use the tow/haul mode and save the $??

Excellent point, that’s exactly why I won’t buy one. It’s not that I don’t think it works, I’m sure it works fine. The tow/haul button also works fine. And it’s FREE!

Love my Sprint Booster which is basically the same thing. I leave it on City 4 and wheel around town like a big shot lol. Very good throttle response now.

Tow/haul works perfectly fine!...but it’s awesome to be able to fine tune this thing with the touch of my phone screen...city +4 is my favorite, but that doesn’t mean I use it all the time!...lol...sport and sport+ are just down right fun to use!...I would easily spend the money on this thing all over again, I guess ya just have to use it to see what I mean...just about everyone I’ve talked to that has one or had one says the same, that they’re def worth it!

I think this will make the pedal more sensitive same as in tow / haul however without delaying the shift from one gear to another .
Tow/haul will keep you on the gears longer so the transmission don't keep hunting for gears while towing / hauling heavy loads

I was online ordering some spidertrax spacers this morning from toytec and i picked up the pedal commander too. Been looking at them for a while. Can't wait to try it out. Should arrive on Thursday.

The first time you put it in sport plus and gas it, you will instantly forget how much you paid for it.

This is the benefit of the Pedal Commander over the tow/haul button.

First... it's always there and you dont need to press a button every time you start and drive the truck. It's always on. Just hit the key and go.
Second... It's adjustable to your personal preference.
Third... It doesn't change the transmission shifting characteristics.

I like the pedal feel with tow/haul activated... but I DONT like the excessively drawn-out shift points.

I'm still considering HP Tuners software... so I will hold-off buying a Pedal Commander for my Tundra. I still have the one from my 2018 Tacoma and can't give the damn thing away. I wish it was compatible with the Tundra, but unfortunately its a different part number. (PC35 vs PC27)

I tried that setting in my gutless Tacoma and felt it was completely undriveable.

I think I eventually settled on Sport, +1 or +2

Do you feel it has made up for the soggy feeling from the taller 35" tires ?

Absolutely, it 100% helps offset the feeling of adding the 35’s...truck feels better now than it did the day I drove it off the lot stock...haha...love this thing, city +4 is still my favorite...and well said above, you and @Jtundra81 make some excellent points!

I installed one on my '18 after installing 35's and it is by far the best mod I've done to the truck. Even with 35's the truck is a joy to drive. I keep it in City -1.

To all of the naysayers, until you try one you really can't comprehend how much this helps the 3rd gen's driveability. To those comparing it to tow/haul, it's just different. I don't know what else to say about it. Borrow one or something and you'll see.

Agreed! I have one in my 2nd gen 4.6 with 34's. It will be moving to my 2020 along with my 34's, and I can't wait to use it with the 5.7.

So where do you guys mount your unit? I like the idea but really don't want to "see" it because the wire and overall look is so after-market'y.

I tossed mine back behind the center console. It was supposed to be temporary while I initially tried the unit, but it's still back there somewhere. There's no reason to mount it in sight as it has bluetooth.

Anybody have this installed on 1st gen Tundra's with the 4.7 V8? Need some of your thoughts. I'm on the fence. That $50.00 coupon doesn't help.

Not to jack the thread, but did you black out your steering wheel? Looks sweet. Im making my mod list for my 2020 that arrives today. I am coming out of a 2013 so the mods will be a little different on the 3rd gen compared to what I'm used to lol.

I'm interested in one of these, thanks for the video and comments here. @2020Platinum do you know if you can use the PC and Tow/Haul mode on? Or should you turn off the module?
