The truck is not shifting at all in D?
I don't know how that is possible..
Gearlock is not even used / called in code when the truck is in "D"



When you press tow / haul it switches ignition maps for higher octane. You won't feel a "transformation" into a different tune from just pressing the button.

 

Without pressing Tow I cannot tell I have a tune with the low octane. I will use Zendesk and request GL to be removed.

Correct, in D it does not shift. Your asking at all? I am not going to redline it to see if it shifts.

Can’t wait to hear feedback on the 19 tune. Hopefully that’s means 20 is next.

 

Please test and let us know / confirm that features are working (gearlock, directshift)

How to:
Gearlock
put truck in S mode. No Tow haul button.

put truck into S2.. about 2000 RPM.
go full throttle.
Does the truck downshift?
if not, gearlock is working.


Directshift.
S2. Full throttle, from 2000 rpm.
click shifter UP.

Does truck shift before rev limit?
direct shift confirmed

018/19 ECUs use a different ram setup / bit segment for activation of "s mode"
and, after a test is complete, we believe we got it fixed.

So there will be an update to 18' ecus (0CN21).

My tune is broken. I can't downshift which means it's not safe to drive on mountain roads.

I guess I'm in time out now because I pissed you off. It's been almost a month now and you said a couple weeks ago that you had a fix. But I guess you just want to punish me.

Does anyone know when @OVTune might get to 2012 ECU’s? Do I need to purchase product in advance? If so, what needs to be purchased exactly?

 

one file is messed up.
Flash back to one of the multiple other files you have, like the previous one.

You are not our only customer, and we have someone else testing this ECU version to ensure it works, before sending it to you.
Because I can only IMAGINE what would happen if we sent one to you again that didn't work.


sometimes I wish companies could rate their customers. You have complained since day 1. Just keep complaining, I don't care, honestly.
I'm not going to send you another file until I fully confirm that it works.
We aren't a perfect business, things get in the way. But yea we do have to take extra steps, precautions, etc with you. You know why.

Would it be best to have the fuel pump recall done on a 19 before installing the tune or does it matter?

Throttle response is improved in my opinion.

 

I’ve got an 18’ and the throttle response/factory tune is damn sluggish. My dad’s got a 13’, and it *feels* so much better. Feels much more like it should.

I don't have it setup by year. it's by CAL ID.

 

How is the CAL ID found/determined?

 

Hit "identify" on your VFTuner software. There are instructions on his website.

 

I don’t have the software as I didn’t know if OV would even be available for my truck.

So again, do I need to purchase in advance and if so what exactly?

All of the buttons are grayed out. How do I resolve this?? Trying to load the tune Matt sent me this afternoon.

 

I just dealt with this a few pages back. You need a new registry key. Copy that system ID and send it to him in the email string from Zendesk. He will reply with a registry key that you download and double click on. This will give you the ability to read and flash.

 

Thanks bud. Once I looked back at the original key he sent and realized it was different, I shot off the email.
This is kind of a shit way to do this if it continues to change. Im locked out until they respond.
