Thanks guys, something cool about having extra metal welded to your frame! Don’t worry, they didn’t stay dirty long

Has anyone installed the @Caliraisedled sliders yet?
I'm super impressed with the pictures I've seen on their website. I really like that they incorporate a mounting location on the very front like sdhq does with theirs. This really means something to me. They also offer a kick-out 'delete' option, which is nice. The kick-out really doesn't look right to me despite its noted advantages.

Hey all so what's the deal with RCI sliders? I see two or so people have them but not alot of conversation around them. Seems to be more around WKOR. Are the RCIs good? Bad? Anyone have them and find anything annoying or bad about them. Would be interested to hear from anyone who has put them to the test. Planning a trip from CA to Moab soon so would like to make a purchase asap

I heard good things about both when I was shopping for mine. I ended up with WKOR skidders though.

I have RCI sliders. The sliders themselves are good quality (although at first I could hear little metal shavings rattling around inside that weren't cleaned out). The fit could get a bit better as the mounting plates are straight and don't compensate for the curvature big the truck frame. You're left with gaps in some places that can catch debris and water. Their installation hardware isn't that great either as they send these D shaped backing plates/washers that really aren't needed for clearance purposes and have a tiny edge distance on the flat side that isn't comforting. I ended up making some SST round backing plates of my own.

@Rolling Biome do you have any pictures? Still happy with them? Also how long ago was your purchase? Maybe they've since fixed the issues?

@jewsNbrews any definitive reasons? Did you have gaps as well or all flush?

Really just don't want to have to drill into the frame of I can help it.

Be sure to remember that the lead times are going to be quite long. So if you are expecting it quickly for your trip, you may need to plan accordingly.

Might want to give @Caliraisedled a call if you need a set in a hurry. They keep stock at their partner company in SoCal @CaliRaisedOffroad
Idk if they have any tundra sliders in stock or not right now but it’s worth a shot if you need them quick! I have them on my truck and love’em.

Been waiting on mine for almost a month since the sale started. Apparently they were in stock and just needed to be powder coated, so I wouldn't expect them to fast from them.

No fitment issues with WKOR. Backers matched up perfectly with rear curve of frame. Two bolts welded to square metal with rods welded to them for easy install up against the gas tank. Just clear the frame of debris first is only thing I wish I knew first. Was a bitch getting them to thread until I cleaned all the debris out.

Also well balance and was able to use a jack to lift them in place in the middle and bolt them up. Had jack stands but they weren't needed.

I bought and installed my RCI sliders back in October. I doubt anything has changed in their design. They did replace one of the sliders due to a loud rattling inside (something more than just metals shavings) but the replacement and the other original slider still had some light rattling sounds. Nothing you can hear after install but just speaks to workmanship.

Here's a picture of the gap between the slider and frame at the front of the vehicle. It's maybe around 1/4". I messed with it for a while when installing to keep the slider even with the body and trying to ensure it was as flat as possible with the frame. To really get the full plate snug with the frame it would needed to be contoured.

Here's a picture of their backing plate. I ended up having to use one where there wasn't clearance but you can see how they really don't have a lot of material.

One of the SST plates I made. I used these in all the other locations.

If I were to buy sliders now I'd likely go with C4 or CBI and get bumpers to match. That's not to say that there aren't a few other good options.

    +1 @jewsNbrews

no issues installing WKOR. Follow the contour very well. I don't think I have any gaps. Drilling the frame is more for piece of mind if you do serious offroading and bash your truck all over the place. If you are not planning on then you don't need to or maybe drill 2 on each side instead of 5.

Does anyone have the CBI sliders? If so, pics from a straight on angle? Wondering how far they stick out from the sides. Difficult to tell on images from their site. Thanks so much.

Today is the Monday-est Thursday without a doubt, brother! I thought about the @Caliraisedled sliders like yours but not being wheel to wheel is the only thing that held me back.

Lol it’s been Mondays all week for me

They are pretty damn close to being wheel to wheel! The rear portion stops a couple inches from the back

I went back and forth on sliders. Toytec ended up convincing me. I get my RCI sliders on Monday.

Factors were RCI is a local company, I have a RCI front skid, they have a top plate, they're beefy and attached properly without welding, and they look cool.
