It's one of our son's goals to blackout all the interior. We did AJT vent rings today and I had a small amount of Plastidip left, so we tried then steering wheel emblem.

I think it turned out quite well. No disassembly required, no messing around or worries about the airbag and it was quick to do.

    Hopefully it holds up.

That's the route I'll go if this doesn't take.

I figured I'd try free (already had Plastidip) over $30usd shipped to Canada for 1 emblem.

I was thinking about this, just mask off a square around it and tape a bag or box over it to spray and not overspray all in the cab?

    Yup. Exactly what I did.

It picked off with a toothpick on the wheel portions. 4 coats, 10min wait time in between.

I also put a giant piece of craft paper over it, to prevent it from hitting the windshield and instrument panel as my can nozzle was well used and not spraying straight.

Awesome! I've got an old can that I just may experiment with in the same manner. Thanks!
