Air cleaner box change in 2020 ???

I just bought an AFE filter for my truck and its obviously too big.
Box says 07-19... and mine is a 20.
Seller listed it as fitting a 2020.

Am I missing something here ?

It shows both the 178010P100 pleated paper type that's the top one in the picture and the larger 178010S010 woven filter that came in the 2nd gens. Strange. Maybe some trims or regions get the older style box? Or maybe someone writing the parts list goofed. The Donaldson filter list seems more clear here. The easy way to tell is the larger filter has rounded corners and the smaller one is squared off. I thought all '14-up 5.7L had the smaller one.

The bigger one had a box with 4 clips which I would prefer over the newer box's two. I *believe* the larger airbox will bolt in just looking at the mounting positions but I haven't tried it yet. The tube from the airbox to throttle body from all 5.7L 2007-2020 is the same part number.

 

Yeah mine only has two clips holding the lid on.
Maybe I can swap to the larger air cleaner box. Im sure there are a few floating around from those who went to an aftermarket system.

Air box got smaller in 2014, AFE is all goofed up on their applications. You need this one.
